What are your experiences with this combo, especially if you’ve tried them separately and then together? What does this combo do for you vs each of these meds separately?
Any experiences of mirtazapine (Remeron) with SSRI/SNRI for depression, anxiety and poor sleep?

200mg Sertraline and 15mg Mirtazapine. Great combination
Hi, Perservering!
I took Remeron (an atypical antidepressant) first with Lexapro and then years later with Effexor for another few years.
The Lexapro and Effexor were great for depression/anxiety but only partially helped with my sleep issues so I started mirtazapine with both and it was the answer to my insomnia.
I only took a low dose of the mirtazapine for sleep so I can't really say if it would have worked completely on it's own. It may work well for depression but I'm not so sure about severe anxiety disorders.
I am currently on Mirtazapine 15mg for a few months now. I have better mood and sleep but, have clonazepam for anxiety .25-.50mg/day as needed. I’m trying to stay at lower dosage. I’m doing better since my MDD last January. I initially lost weight but am now holding (only gained a couple of pounds back).
