Finished my three week injections 1 week ago, but still no relief and knees are still painful. Is it still possible for the injections to work? How long could it take?

Did you ever get relief? I just finished my third injection 2 days ago and so far -- no relief. Just continued pain. This is not what I was expecting!

I just finished 3rd shot in right knee, 2nd in left. Was optimistic a couple days following 2nd in right. Wasn't bothering me near as much, and honestly the day before my 3rd and the day of my 3rd prior to getting the injection I was experiencing some of the best relief I've had in a very long time. Wasn't needing to use my cane. Found whilst walking the dog that I didn't need to woddle and/or limp. I have for so long it had just become the way I walked to try to minimize the pain. I found myself woddling and limping when it dawned on me I wasn't hurting, that I could stand fully erect and walk without much if any pain. Needless to say I was very happy, and thought I'd finally found something that was going to work. During my 3rd injection I felt the usual discomfort from the injection, however within a very few minutes I realized it wasn't going away and in fact getting worse. That was mid day Thursday.
By that evening the pain was constant again, sleep was difficult. Friday thru Friday evening and late night it continued to hurt and I believe it was getting worse. 10mg of oxycodone wasn't touching it, sleep was impossible. It is now Saturday morning 6:45am with no sleep once again and no indication it's going to get any better. Going to attempt to call my orthopedic doc's answering service to see if he or whomever is on call will call me back with directions and/or advise on what to do. Laying in bed last night the thought of self amputation had briefly entered my mind. Jokingly of course, but if someone hasn't had to deal with severe chronic pain, then they certainly couldn't understand that at times it does seem like a logical option. Anyway, I've jabbered along way too long as I famously do. I sincerely hope and pray you situation improves and you are able to realize the relief you are seeking. Sincerely, Rob
