Hi, Lee!
It may take a few weeks I think but you'll probably see the beginning of improvement sooner because you'll know what to be looking for. Right now you're probably in the "roller coaster" phase meaning you're going through those peaks and troughs. It's a normal reaction and it is a sign that your metabolism is adjusting and the medication is beginning to work again! It's a temporary phase and your moods should begin to level out soon.
Hang in there and give it another week or two. I think you'll see the light by then. If it still seems rough then you should let your doctor know.
Regards and I hope you're feeling good again soonest!
