do all opiates keep you awake. Tramadol I could not take at night. Also do all opiates make you sweat? It made me have severe sweats and increased my hotflashes. Are there some that do not cause these things to happen. Thank you

I am with Jack if I get still I am out like a light no matter what pain medication I take. The Tramadol does make me sweat easier.

Hi opiates as a group work in the same way mostly, although you might notice subtle differences, and so may also notice subtle differences in the side affects. I take tramadol and they also keep me awake and they also make me sweat loads more than normal, so just so you know that is normal for them. Tramadol are the only kind of opiate I have taken, but as i believe it is a case of trial and error as to which will be best for you as people can develop many different side effects, from person to person.
Have you researched opiates as a group or sought any medical advice yet?

Yes, I had tramadol withdrawal ater stopped taking the medication. Was seen in emergency room for this. Withdrew very slowly too. The side effects was not tolerable and the dosage I could not increase due to it kept me awake at night. Then the dosage I was taking stopped working for my pain. Now I have bad insomnia since I have come off the tramadol. Hopefully once my body (brain starts to Increase with endorphins) I will start sleeping better. I am going to try some valerian root tonight. I am so tired, but not sleeping. This did not hapeen until I came off the medicine.
