Tramadol is used in the treatment of back pain; chronic pain; pain; anxiety; vulvodynia (and more), and belongs to the drug class narcotic analgesics. Risk cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. Tramadol is classified as a Schedule 4 controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
Flexeril is used in the treatment of muscle spasm; sciatica and belongs to the drug class skeletal muscle relaxants. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Flexeril is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
Tramadol is a narcotic-like pain reliever.
