The midwife injected it above my butt in my “muffin top” area. I usually get it lower but she gave it higher this time. I have a lot of anxiety on whether or not it was given in the right spot. I tried looking everywhere else for answers but got nothing except that it was supposed to be given in the butt or arm muscle, did she give it right? Will I still be protected? It wasn’t the Sub Q form
Depo-Provera - Was my Depo Provera shot given in the wrong place?

I agree with what Laura said... get professional advice from your doctor. That way you'll know what to do and not have to worry about it.
It needs to be given deep in a large muscle, not fat. Preferably high in the buttock, but the arm is sometimes used, though usually it's more painful there.
Thank you. My main concern is should o get another shot, or am I still protected?
You need to speak to your doctor & show them exactly where the shot was inserted. If it went into fat, then that may require a further shot, because the Manufacturer states that this must be placed deep into the muscle, as it creates a pool of fluid which is gradually released over the 13 weeks.
