Do i take the contrave with meal or before meal?
I take my morning dose around 6:30 am and eat a light breakfast after I get dressed for work which is between 7:30 & 8 am. I do suffer the nausea, but usually in the middle of the day. I guess when the breakfast wears off, so I have to make sure I have something to eat around lunch.
Maybe we have to just see what works best for us, meds are always different for every one.
Today was my second day and I was completely nausea after about 3 hrs. I ate breakfast and it had a pudding snack around 930 am and by 10:00 I was completely nausea and feeling sick... for a few hrs. Should I be doing something different? I wasn't nausea on my first day.
I take my a.m. dose while I am eating breakfast. But I try to take my p.m. dose as close to 12 hours later as possible so that means it is well after dinner, but my stomach is not empty. If has been too many hours after dinner, I take the pills with something light to eat.
Thank you.
I think I would ask your Dr. first and let them have the final say so when to take
Its supposed to be taken with meals.
Thank you
So u don't have to wait 45 mins before or after eating. Wasn't told by doctor. Also does dairy affect u in any way
Why didn't the Dr advise you about this? No instructions on the label either?
Geez.
It matters enough for you to check there as it may vary from person to person.
He just said, in the am I could take either before, with or after, I was just wondering what everyone else was doing, if taking with food does it lessen the chance for stomach cramping, or upset stomach. Thank you for your feedback
Okay, in that case with food is the way to go for now.
I take my Contrave in the morning then eat about an hour or so later. No nausea, no stomach upset.
I think if you have nausea when you take the pills then maybe you need to take with food to help. Just a thought.
