I have been having bad nights sleep. I was wondering if anyone was having bad dreams and not just insomnia. They are really annoying.
Contrave - Has anyone been experiencing bad dreams since taking the medicine?

So I just had this super scary super real vivid dream, and that’s why I’m here.. it was so real like I remember it. I was talking to an old lady like my neighbor, just about the weather Then she held my hand and I couldn’t move, I couldn’t open my eyes and I couldn’t open my mouth. I started screaming I was aware it was muffled just loud enough to wake my husband up. He woke up and I was free “from her grasp” it was the scariest ever. I just got back on contrave and this happened, I’ve had vivid dreams when I was on contrave before but never scary. This was something else. I’m scared to go back to sleep…. Pls someone tell me it was contrave and nothing else… I’m literally shaking, my heart racing and I’m checking on my kids to make sure they’re safe. Gosh!
Glad I’m not the only one! Same here… very vivid dreams and scary ones too like something standing over me. All this since starting Contrave.
I appreciate the comments regarding the reviews. I couldn't figure out what was happening and why. I would have scary dreams to the point that I was sweating and my heart was pounding. Upon wakening I couldn't really recall the dream but I felt scared had a hard time falling back to sleep. This goes on all night every night. And yes even during short naps.
I have been having vivid dreams since starting Contrave. They're always scarey and I am always trying to get away from something. I am screaming and running or jumping in my sleep, and then find myself on the floor. I have hurt myself pretty badly. When I told my doctor about this, she said no way it could be Contrave. Good to know that it is not just me having these vivid dreams.
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one that has been having crazy vivid dreams that seem so long and drawn out. Like someone else said even if I fall asleep for a short period of time eg. watching tv, I’ll dream. I wake up feeling exhausted. I’ve been on Contrave for 7 weeks now and it continues.
I have had vivid dreams ever since taking it but not “bad” dreams. I have actually been enjoying them.
I just started Contrave 3 days ago and every single night I have had very vivid dreams. Nothing that I can remember exactly but I'm always running from something in the dream. Even if I take a 30 minute nap I having the vivid dreams. And in them I'm in a waking dream state where I'm trying to come out of the dream but can't. It's super annoying and I really hope it tones down.
Hi yes, yesterday was my first day taking it, and last night while on my way to sleep i had a terrible scary nightmare. Almost making me think i “couldn’t wake up” it was weird. I forced my eyes open and my heart was racing. It was hard getting back to sleep after that. I took my dosage again this morning and hoping tonight it’s better.
