I am a 34 year old male. I was just prescribed 36mgs of Concerta. I have struggled with ADD for a while and it’s to the point It’s harder to keep things in order. It’s effecting my work and home life. I’ve never taken anything in relation to this medication before. I would half the dose to see how it effects me, but these are extended release and you can’t do that safely. Is 36mgs a hefty dose to start with? What should I expect when it starts working?
How does Concerta it make you feel the first time?

Hi. You know, there is an entire Concerta support group right on this site. 100+ members, I believe. You might get more info on there. I agree, though, it's a life changer! Good luck!
I haven't taken Concerta, but I am on Adderall. I relate to your struggles and wanted to share my experience after I was finally diagnosed and treated. It was a complete life changer! In my non- expert opinion, I think the dose is fine. Concerta is supposed to be much more mild than most of ADD stimulants out there. They have an 18mg dose, which is the lowest, that you may want ask your doctor to subscribe as a safety precaution. At times I was on extended release stimulants and found them more mild. Good luck, and get ready for sunnier skies.
