Hello Anne:
You didn't mention the dosage of Viibryd or whether You were given the starter pack. In any event, for those patients responding to Viibryd it is one of the faster acting antidepressants. The therapeuic dosing range is 20 to 40 mg. Most people in that dosing range begin to notice the benefit in as little as 3 weeks (not including an initial titrating dose of 10 mg for one week) So hang in there. If Viibryd is right for you You should know in another week or two.
Thank you. I'm on 10mg and have been for 2 weeks and will be for the next 2 weeks, then up to 20mg. Anne
Hi Anne:
It's possible you may feel some improvement after week 3 or 4 on 10 mg. However, it is much more likely that you will feel some improvement after 1 or 2 weeks at 20 mg.
Glad to hear that You and Your Doctor are taking it slow. For those who respond to it Viibryd is a powerful medication and imho one does not not want to take a greater dose than is necessary.
Take care for now and all the best.
Hi, Anne!
You should be on the lookout for some improvements soon now but it can take 4-8 weeks to feel the full benefit of the medication.
Try to be patient and focus on the positives!
Best regards,
Thank you!
