I've been taking generic Lexapro from the company Teva and it has worked well for me. Recently it seems like it may be discontinued. Did anyone find a difference between Lexapro brands? Are certain ones better than others?

This was a huge problem for me. Aurobindo had been doing okay but walgreens just switched again and my mental health tanked within a week. Claimed they couldn't get it anymore. Trying to look elsewhere now but there is definitely a difference between generic drugs. My psychiatrist said this has been a serious problem for a few of his patients.
I recommend looking for a pharma company not based in India or China.
After 20 years, I may just need to try a new anti depressant because it's always a gamble when they switch it up.
Hey there Cobaltblue2474. Did you find a Lexapro brand that works for you?
It would be really helpful...
I was researching brands and came across your post. I too took Teva and unfortunately can’t find it anywhere. They only have Lupin, Accord, Cipla and Aurobindo. Did you find one that works for you? Trying to find the best one to take.
did you find a generic that worked?
If you found one that worked as well as Teva that would be really helpful.
Hi, Anon!
I took generic escitalopram for over 7 years with many different manufacturers and never noticed any difference at all.
The different manufacturers may use different inert ingredients but the drug is the same. Some people may be sensitive to these inactive ingredients and that might cause a problem.
Simple answer: The best brand is the one that works best for you.
