Maybe 40 mg. per day would help you more. Speak with your doctor,
Same thing happened with my wife. She would cry all of the time but, worse... She would get VERY angry over everything. Even the small stuff. She finally went back to her doc and he switched her to Zoloft. Let me tell you... Huge difference... She is feeling much better and more relaxed. Celexa just wasn't the right med for her.
Thank you I am going to go back to the doctors and will see what happens it's just like the smallest thing gets to me and winds me up its really putting a strain on things
Sounds like a good idea. There are many great medicines out there that will help. I know that it's hard going through this but, once you find the right one you will be glad that you went through it. It is definitely a learning experience. You can always email me if you feel you need to. Even just for positive help. I have been through it as well. I really hope that everything works out for you. Good luck!
Thanks you and I will
Hi, Celexa takes 4 weeks (give or take) to work to it's optimum potential, so if you haven't been taking it for this long, it may need more time to take effect... If you have been taking the medication for a while you may need to talk with your doctor about an increase? Are you having counselling?
Hiya I have Ben taking i for about 4 months I was on 10mg for 2 and just been put up to 20mg 2 months ago and I'm not having counciling x
There is still room for another increase or adding another medication? I really think counselling/anger management sessions could help you
You may need to give it more time to work, 2-3 weeks minimum, also, it will not modify your behavior as much as you may be expecting it to, that takes a lot of time and work.
I have taken for about 4 months x
That's more than enough time.
They don't seem to be doing the job but I will have to see the doctor again, just im getting very emotional and I don't no why I am getting so angry x
Well again, the anger issues more than likely run deeper or are linked to deeper issues in your life, past, present or even the future. The pursuit of a remedy is best served by a source you can trust and begin to get to the root causes, meds will only help with symptoms, not causes. If the cause isn't addressed, the symptoms may worsen, and even if they do not, the meds will be less effective.
Thank you I understand that a bit better now, I no I worry about a lot especially conception as we've been trying for ages nothing's happening and that worrys me I thinktheres more to it. I've always got angry very quickly
