i have notoriously dry lips that get red and swollen. i have been using vaseline each night before bed but will bactroban use prevent the cracking and swelling before it happens as a preventative measure?
Can I use bactroban on my lips at night to keep them from getting dry and chapped?

they have a new lip treatment with mild anti biotic in it.You could also use vaseline on them on top of the lip treatment.
You sound like a mouth breather. Your nose may be plugged up. Try some saline spray in your nose before bedtime. This is just special water.
Do you have the heat on at night? If so make sure you have a humidifier running or you are also going to wind up with your nose bleeding too. Blistex makes a good balm for this weather and there are many other balms out there for the winter.

thank you! the reason i have the bactroban is because i was having nosebleeds and ended up having ulcers on the septum hence was given the bactroban. was just thinking i could give it double duty.
Like I said before, nose bleeds are common in this time of year. The best investment you can make is a humidifer. The air is way too dry with all th heaters being used.
No, please don't use Bactroban to prevent your lips from cracking. It is an antibiotic cream and only needs to used on an infection. Please use a good lip balm.
thank you, this is what i needed to know...
