Do not give Promethazine and Zyrtec together. They are both antihistamines and work in the same way - you would be doubling up on meds.
You could give Zyrtec during the day and Promethazine at night. Drowsiness is a side effect of Promethazine so could help your daughter to get a good nights sleep.

suzanne66 is correct. Do NOT administer promethazine and Zyrtec together, matter if fact I personally would not give to a child under 8 or 9 at all. There are safer remedies. Respectfully Submitted, Tim
PS Benadryl is safer, but only administer at bedtime and for a child I would suggest cutting a 25mg in half, as benadryl is not available in doses less than 25, and because they are not time-released, it is safe to cut one for a child up until about age 12, then 25 is OK
