Been taking buspirone for about 3 weeks at 15x2. I've been managing all this time but now the burning it not just at night it's all the time. Not getting sleep and inward thinking about the burning is terrible. Doc put me now on 3x15. Is this what normally happens? Or do I need to cut back on buspar? Please help

Side effects can occur after increasing a dosage and usually only last a week or two but I think you've had this since you first started if I remember right. When you say burning do you mean all over your body or in your throat or?
Have you told your doctor about it and, if so, what did she/he suggest?
I'm 3 weeks into buspar. I have sunburn like feeling in my forearms, legs, or neck. It was torriable when it was at night in the bed. But now it's during the day also. My sleep is getting wrecked because I have to figure a way to sleep while my forearms or neck burn. My doctor said to go from 15mg x2 to 15mg x3. Which I just started today. The only thing that really stops the sunburn feeling is move the affected area. Which "resets" it for like 30 seconds. Which in turn won't let me sleep because you can't move all night long. I can take hydroxyzine 100mg as a sleep aid but it only lasts for 3 hours. I just wish if I knew if my body is trying to tell me to slow down on the buspar or more is needed.
I wonder if this something like paresthesia which can cause burning, itching, or crawly feelings on your body. Sometimes the cause is unknown but it's a common side effect with buspirone that affects about 1-10% of users.
I don't know if it's dosage related or not... but if your doctor advised an increase I guess that's worth seeing how you do with it. But do let them know that it's severe enough to be interrupting your sleep.
I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Yes, please do post an update. I'm interested in how you do!
Looks like less of a dose makes the burning sensation lessen. Stopped buspar 3 days ago. Still burn but it's alot more manageable
Hopefully now you'll be feeling much better quickly. :)
Kevin is correct. You should address your questions and concerns to your doctor. He/she should be aware of “risk” and “benefit” of Buspar. Monday may be the best time to reach out to your professional.

Have you guys ever heard of higher doses doing this?
Hi.
I find talking to my pharmacist is easier for quick accurate answers. Plus many pharmacists have a lot more undivided attention for you. Especially during these holidays.
Best regards
