I really would like to start taking Buspar three times a day for anxiety and OCD. It has helped, but not quite enough. I am wondering if I should take it three times daily for anxiety and OCD? I’ve been taking twice a day for almost 2 months. What are your opinions?
Buspar 7.5 twice daily - should i increase to 3 times daily?

Hi, Katelyn!
Everybody responds differently to this type of medication so the goal is to find the lowest dose that's effective for each person. 7.5mg 2x is a low initial dose and after 2 months it may be time to think about about an increase. You've got plenty of room since the maximum dose is 60mg/day. I have to take the maximum (30mg/2x daily).
Talk to your doctor about an increase and spreading it out throughout the day may also help. Don't vary your dose without your doctor's okay though.
Regards and I hope this helps. Wildcat
PS, Anxiety disorders are notorious for being slow to respond to treatment, especially for OCD so be patient. You're making good progress and there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
