I am a healthy 63 year-old woman who has been taking Saxenda for about 3 1/2 months. I am not increasing my dosage weekly, but rather more slowly and steadily. The weight is coming off slowly, with consistent weight loss each week. The only lingering side effect I am experiencing is acid reflux; not every day and it’s manageable. I have been on 1.8 for a little over a month, and have just recently increased to 2.4. I am experiencing moderate joint pain, particularly on the right side of my body. I have also experienced lower back/hip pain on the right side of my body. This is in no way the norm for me. It’s really beginning to impact my life, as I am in pain every day. Is anyone else experiencing this? What can I do to alleviate the pain and discomfort?
Anyone experiencing joint pain while taking Saxenda?

I am experiencing the joint pain as well, especially in my hip and low back area. I'm only on the 1.8 dose for the last week. I've also been experiencing issues with severe daytime drowsiness so I switched my dosing to nighttime. Now I'm not sleeping. Definitely a lot of side effects that "aren't on the side effects list"
Joint or musculoskeletal pain is not listed as a side effect of Saxenda or Victoza but that may only mean it hasn't been reported.
Your doctor can give you more information and, if needed, report this to the FDA. You'll also want to rule out any other underlying condition that may be causing this pain.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly.
