In researching the effects of Saxenda and the benefits of using it I read that even after stopping the use of the needles there's no weight gain... with a healthy diet and moderate physical activity off course. I'm curious to get feedback from anyone who has stopped the needles.
Has anyone stopped taking Saxenda? I'm curious to know if theres any weight gain if stopped?

I started Saxenda April 2021 and weighed 108kg I stopped in Dec 2021 and weighed 82kg…it is now 5 months later and I’m 81kg…no weight gain at all for me. My weight was medication related not bad diet or over eating.
But I am curious as to others who have stopped and any long term side effects.
As of Feb/March I started with a moth ulcer that then progressed into the right side lymph node as an infection, and started having trouble swallowing, and severe anxiety, hoarse throat/voice, pain that radiated to the right ear, shortness of breath (could be anxiety related) racing pulse (max so far is 105bpm) then racing heart (max blood pressure so far 139) then fluctuates to low blood pressure (lowest was 103) could be associated to anxiety, chest pain, diarrhea and just overall feeling of illness like my body is poisoned, I was put on antibiotics and steroids and recovered and this has happened again in April 22 for no apparent reason with the same symptoms… I’ve done thyroid test - all clear, I’ve done FBC, showing little and slight elevated kidney levels..wondering if this is something related to Saxenda as I’m on No other medications..or is it simply coincidence? Any thoughts? I’m in Australia
Yes, I start taking Saxenda the 25th January of 2021. Eating healthier and doing work outs just about 4xs a week. I lost 25 pounds by June of 2021. I reinjured my knee from a work out the last week in June and from that point it's been down hill. I stop taking the shot in August when I started getting steroid shots in my knees. I slowly started the weight gain back. By October of 2021 I had gained back 12 pounds and I know that the shots was my problem as well. But I started back on Saxenda on January of 2022. I noticed it doesn't have same effect on me. My appetite is still the same and I'm gaining and not losing. I eating healthy foods without the exercise and it has no effect. Why is not working again?
Yes. Stopped for ten days after taking since September (lost 23lbs in total). Have put on 4lbs in 10 days. Starting injections again today. Saxenda is the only method that has helped me lose so I won't quit now
My two daughters were both on saxenda and stopped and quite quickly gained the weight back. I just stopped it, after being on it for 15 months. I"ve only been off it for a week so far, I am able to eat more than I was when I was on it, SO I'm pretty darn sure that weight will come back on for me too, so because of that, I"M reading up more to find out if it is safe for me to stay on it at least for another year.
Yes, I have taken it for nine months and lost 24 pounds. I was not careful and then went off of it and started eating again and gained a good amount of the weight back. I am taking it again now because it is one of the most effective meds I have ever found.
I recently asked my endo the same question. She informed me that if I came off all weight that had been lost would slowly be gained back over time, therefore I am on the shot for life.
I have just recently started the drug, my doctor said I needed to be on it for 1 year. He said that the behaviour associated with weight gains, habits, routines etc. Typically take a year to be ingrained in the brain to be successful without the drug.
