the pill is amphetamine salt 10 mg blue oval with 10 on one side and b 972 on the other side,generic for adderall, is this really same stuff as street amphetamines? is it true there is an extended release and an instant release? if so, which one is mine?

I've noticed that the IR is usually a tablet and the XR is a capsule.
mrsstomper, the pill u have described is a generic Adderall 10 mg instant release tablet, made by Barr/Teva pharmaceuticals... as far as amphetamines go, it is middle of the road, not too strong... i am currently taking it as an add-on to the Adderall XR, so yes, there is an extended release version of adderall, as well...
The Street drug I believe your referring to is not "amphetamine" but "methamphetamine". Some similarities, but a lot different also. :)
Why don't you look up that pill using the pill Identifier? It's in the Blue bar above.
