Amitriptyline doesn't work for me anymore, I've taken Nytol for first time tonight instead of amitriptyline but that hasn't worked either. I don't know what to do anymore? I'm not sleeping every night until about 5am for about 4 hours.
Amitriptyline not working anymore?

What were you taking the amitriptyline for and for how long? If it's been awhile it may have "pooped out" as antidepressants often do after long term use.
Have you talked to your doctor about this? Chances are that a different medication may be helpful for you.
Don't give up hope... call your doctor.
Best regards and I hope you're getting your Zzz's soon.
Thanks for your answer, i take them to help me sleep and pain, ive talked to my doctor before about this and they can only offer sleeping pills which i dont want to take
How about another class of antidepressant with drowsiness as a side effect? For instance, trazodone or mirtazapine. Have you tried melatonin?
I've taken mirtazapine (Remeron) very successfully.
Gabapentin may also be an option.
