My tooth is terrible! Very allergic to penicillin. Should it be safe use amoxicillin to treat infection of hole in tooth that I've had for a few years,and has gradually gotten worse to the point of no sleep.

No, you should not take amoxicillin if you are allergic to penicillin. Amoxicillin belongs to the Penicillin class of antibiotics and must be avoided if possible.
You should see your dentist - it sounds as though you may need more than just antibiotics. Antibiotics such as clarithromycin, doxycycline and erthyromycin may be a safe alternatives for you.

you have to go for another medication whhich belongs to this group
but first of all you have to concern your physician tell him/her about ur allergic he/she will better guide to you because he/she know your medication history and this is very imp.
