I can't manage my symptoms on low doses of benzodiazepines, I can't even leave the house without severe anxiety. I managed to get by but on a few days I had a harder time leaving for work I took more than prescribed. I don't know if I should ride it out or call the Dr. I have only seen him once I don't want to ruin it already its just not enough. I don't know what I should do?
Here it goes again, I ran out of my 1 mg clonazepam. I have 8 days until my pharmacy will refill?

Noncompliance is common. Be advised to see your provider as soon as possible. You are practicing medicine without a license on yourself. Discuss behavioral means for abusing your script. Have you tried cognitive behavioral therapy? It works quite well for patients with mood-related issues who are trying to have their cake and eat it too. For example, not adhering to the dosing and not accepting responsibility for doing so and then expecting your doctor to bail you out. Seriously? Try taking your treatment as prescribed. Do not sabotage it. Anxiety is often related to depression. Begin that conversation.
Taking more then prescribed isn't going to get trust for you with this dr. Do you take anything else for anxiety, like buspirone? Or an antidepressant?
I would call and see if you can get an appointment A.S.A.P before the appointment you already have set. It will build trust with your new Dr. Tell them exactly what you are experiencing they are here to help.
Thank you for the reassurance, I just can't help but feel the burden is mine. Just the thought of being scolded or turned away is exhausting. It's enough to keep me from making the call. I had a hard time calling the pharmacy. The bottle states refill on or after Nov. 2nd, However they specifically stated on the phone 2 days before the normal fill date which would be Nov. 6th. Tomorrow is my last . 5 as I have been breaking them in half to stretch them out. Then it would be a week of misery until my next appointment. I will call and let him know the situation. Thanks for the advice.
Yes they say 2 days so that this way you won't run out. Withdrawals can b very hard on your body. I hope you have the strength and courage to call and express your concerns. Only you know your body and how you feel.
