I was prescribed doxycycline 100mg 2x daily for 7 days. I took my last dose in the morning on Thursday Oct 31st. My fertile/ovulation time is between Friday Nov 1st - 7th. Is it okay to try to conceive directly after taking doxycycline? I dont know how long the drugs stay in your system and if it will effect the pregnancy/fetus?
After taking doxycycline - how long should I wait to try to conceive?

First of all how do you know your ovulation time? Those calender things are pretty useless because that's the average, and no woman is average. You can ovulate at different times too. Some women even ovulate twice a month.
Doxycycline should be out of your system in 4 days.
I have a pretty regular 28 day cycle - under the assumption that the calendar is correct - and if I were to conceive - I am just wondering if it could affect the fetus in anyway. We have only been trying for two cycles now. So I just wanted to be sure if I should continue trying this month or wait for next month. What is the best way to determine ovulation time?
