I have been on clonazepam .5 dosage for the past 2 years now. I had been taking the generic brand Teva, which worked amazing for me! However, for my past two prescription refills, I had been getting orange pills instead of my usual yellow ones. The bottle says that the manufacturer of these orange pills is “Accord”? And since taking this brand, I have felt horrible. My short term memory is messed up, and I have this weird feeling that my body is on autopilot. It’s so hard to explain. My anxiety has been at an increased level. Overall, I feel like I just might be going insane! Is it even possible for a change in the manufacturer of the same brand to cause different side effects? As stated previously, Teva brand worked outstandingly well for me. Does anyone else feel this way with the Accord brand of clonazepam? What do I do? I’m open to any and all advice!
Is Accord generic clonazepam awful for anyone else?

I have taken the Teva brand for years they worked great now that they have discontinued them I have beem given Sandoz they were not very good either I’ve had Mylan which was somewhat effective and most recently Actavis which have been working pretty well for my anxiety I just got my new fill and CVS tells me there out of Actavis and all they got is Accord I have told them that this brand is not as effective they are very weak they told me that Actavis is on back order I have called around to several different pharmacies hoping to find Actavis no luck this brand needs to be off the market how do u file a complaint about this awful brand and does anyone know what pharmacy carries Actavis Walgreens has Solco brand anyone know if this brand is as good as Teva or Actavis
The Solco brand is terrible! I took it for 3 days. Never again.
Didn't work, made my stomach hurt. Made me go to the bathroom 6 times a day (#2).
When it started wearing off, my heart would race.
I had horrible dreams.
Surprisingly, the Accord brand works great for me. No side effects and seems to work.
Warning!!I almost died using accord... Horrible!!
How did you almost die ? From Accord clonazepam? Please share your story thanks
@Shaunsem1 The Accord generic clonazepam doesn't work, at least not for this person and many of us. I too was on it and what I experienced apparently were withdrawal symptoms from the "original Teva" brand as the Accord brand I'm not sure it has any benzodiazepine or little if any in it. By the end of two weeks of taking it I too thought I was dying or wanted to because all the feelings of panic and anxiety were full blown. It gets complicated and very scary when you THINK you are taking your medication as prescribed and it isn't working. For us who suffer with panic attacks and anxiety I think it's almost cruel to write "I almost died using Accord" because we are people who think what if's. I honestly believe this person experienced withdrawal and it felt like they were dying and not literally dying. I truly hope this person gets back to your question and answers it more accurately.
On my first dose of .5 mg my chest tighten so bad ... I could not breath. I almost suffocated to death!
on my first dose of .5 mg my chest tighten so bad ... I could not breath. I almost suffocated to death!
I'm having a lot of chest pains too - I've only been on it about 5-6 days.. wow. I'm SO sorry everyone is going through this!! we can call Accord (and Actavis) and report our adverse events. I might do so. My digestive tract stopped and I have stomach pains, headaches, joint pain, and am just miserable. these are peoples' lives they are dealing with! and the pharmacist didn't even tell me they switched the generic brand! luckily I do look at the label very closely now.
I've been having good luck with Mylan and Actavis ... I told my pharmacist that I had a bad allergic reaction and he put me on the list of adverse reaction and refunded my money and re-placed the Accord with Mylan on one occasion and Actavis when they could no longer get Mylan ... you have to assert yourself!
Yeah, homes, you can't drop a bomb like that and NOT give details. Come on. The rest of us are getting writer's cramps ;^D
Accord was a nightmare ... TEVA works good for me!
You are NOT alone. I have been on the Teva brand of 0.5 mg clonazepam for a number of years and it worked for me. The Accord generic is NOT working for me either and I too can't describe exactly how they make me feel... but I'll give it a try. :-) I'm more anxious, emotional, can't stay focused, I wake up with my heart racing but I'm not having a panic attack my heart is just racing! But I think this is more noticeable at night (you know, when everyone else is asleep and you feel like you're the only one awake suffering). My heart does race during the day but I believe it's more manageable then. Today I made calls to several of the local pharmacies looking to see if ANYONE carried the Teva brand. One pharmacist did tell me that there were other generics out there besides the Accord and at this point I'm willing to try any of them.
I called the pharmacy I always used and lo and behold they told me they could get the Teva again and it will be ready for me tomorrow. This is good for me, but don't give up in looking at other options! If you can't find the Teva I suggest, like one of the pharmacies told me, to try a different generic. Good luck and it's nice to know there are others out there that can't handle the "Accord" generic and it's not all in my mind like some so-called well meaning people want me to believe.
@Debs66 where did you find the teva brand what pharmacy , are you sure it's not the activis generic what state are you in trying to find it myself thanks
You are correct. I got the Activas which is a different generic. I took my first pill this morning and am about ready for the 2nd pill of the day. I sincerely hope it is better than the Accord generic which my body/brain did NOT like. What a terrible ride! :-)
@debs66 please let me know how the activis works out for you I'm also on lexapro 20mg and take 0.5 of the teva now and am terrified of changing generics please keep in touch and good luck
@Shawnseml I would love to find a page where I could write my story of my first panic attack, to agoraphobia, and to what they now call generalized anxiety. But, I will respond to what you asked me about how the Activas is working for "me". Everyone reacts differently--except from what I've read from others "Teva" brand worked so well for all of us and now it's gone. The "Activas" seems to be much stronger than the original Teva; at least for me, but then again I was on the "Accord" which was one heck of a ride (and I don't like roller coasters, she says smiling) for about a month. Maybe my body is adjusting to now getting what it was deprived of for that time period. The Activas makes me tired which is great at bedtime just not great during the day, and it controls the panic attacks--so far. With the permission of my physician I'm allowed to adjust the dose to see what works for me.
What can I say, I'm 66, and have been on clonazepam since 1995. LONG STORY :-) I've worked in the medical profession longer than these new young doctors and PA's who haven't had the experiences I've (and all of you on this page included) have gone through. Take your Lexapro and be open minded about the ACTIVAS working for you. Please keep in touch and let me know how it goes... but my heart and mind tell me you will do well.
@Debs66 so your saying actvis generic is stronger than Teva for you ? ACCORD generic is garbage from what I see and read on this website. I also say we all need to write Teva and explain to them that this is messing with peoples lives I encourage everyone reading this to contact accord and teva and explain
Thanks Shawn
@Shawnsem1 When you get your clonazepam refilled please make sure the manufacturer is ACTIVAS and not Accord. Activas bought out the Teva company. You asked if I felt they were stronger than the "original" Teva and I honestly can't say right now other than to say THEY DO WORK. Here's the deal--after being on the Accord generic clonazepam and going through withdrawal I think now with the Activas generic my body is readjusting to levels of the benzodiazepine that it takes to control the panic attacks and anxiety. It's like when I was first prescribed clonazepam and for the first time in a very long time I could relax, sleep, and think clearly. I think you stated in your original post that you are about to renew your prescription and without the Teva brand (the little yellow pill of 0.5 mg) no longer available you are "stressing" over what comes next.
My suggestion is to make sure your pharmacy has the Activas brand generic clonazepam or at least orders it in for you and you will be just fine and have no problems. If your pharmacy gives you crap about not being able to get the Activas then call around to other pharmacies and see who carries it and get it filled there. There is NO price difference and if you have pharmacy insurance they will pay for it. It's a generic, not a name brand. Hope this helps. :-)
@debs66 thank you for responding I suffer from panic disorder also , but I'm here to help others also we need to write FDA ect and get the garbage Accord out of here in my opinion I'll try the actavis but so scared of withdraw and feeling drugged where Teva did not have that effect. The last thing I want to do is have panic attacks or feel high on a drug just want quality in my life as I'm only 33 years old and have children but I believe people need to rise up and state there problems with these company's and also write Teva and just maybe they will start making it again
Thanks Shawn
as far as I know, Teva's clonazepam doesn't exist anymore since they integrated with Actavis. I think the Actavis is what pharmacies give you now when you ask for Teva brand. I'm so frustrated with these generic pills so i'm going to try the name-brand. Teva worked perfectly for like 10 years, .5mg dose. just enough to fall asleep and keep anxiety away.
Yes. Accord Health Care Clonazepam is horrible! I've been prescribed 1mg Clonazepam since 2012, and I've always gotten either Teva or Mylan, but this last refill I received Accord Health Care (blue with C1 imprint). They are basically sugar pills! They melt like cotton candy, and have no affect whatsoever! I started noticing headaches and I've never gotten headaches from Teva or Mylan brand. I recently learned that Accord Health Care had been previously sued for mislabeled medications and it's from China. I would let your doctor know any issues you've experienced from this brand, and have him /her make a note on your future scripts not to fill anything from Accord.
I too have taken teva in the padt and it worked great, but this last prescription was accord manufacturere and i have only taken two. I havent taken any since. I felt doped up out of it, and my anxiety was worse causing my blood pressure to go up from being anxious! I refuse to take this mess. I can't comprehend how they can allow people to take this knowing the side effects that so many people have complained about! I asked the pharmacist and tgey said that it was the only manufacturere that they use for that particular pill. That's hard to believe given the fact that they used to sell teva. Do not use walmart or harris teeter if you get this prescription. I had it transferred and told them i couldn't take it, and i go to pick up the med from walmart after telling them this and guess what? The same bs!! I am not taking this. I will not pay for something that makes me feel worse!
Call around. I use Walgreens now... they switched me to Actavis which for me is better than Accord. I will NOT take Accord brand again and I have a note in my file at the pharmacy. We need to all band together somehow and do an online petition sending a copy to the manufacturer and anyone else that will listen. This is ridiculous.. my thoughts are with everyone here.
Me too. I absolutely feel like crap and I left my pharmacy and found one that uses Activis which is not the same as Teva (which I as you had used for years with no problems) but Teva sold out to Activis or so I heard. When I take the accord brand, I am extremely tired, my ears ring, I get a weird headache and I get depressed. I've tried four different types of Clonazepam and by far the Accord brand is the worst. I think I'm going to report it to the FDA as I'm thinking there is a compromised ingredient in that brand. If I were you I would try to call different pharmacies to see if they carry something else. I had my pharmacy put a note in my file that says I'm allergic to the Accord brand. Hope this helps.
I filed an FDA report recently because of this weak drug. It didn’t take me long, maybe 15 mins. I just realized that Accord had a major recall of a blood pressure medication so it might be the right time to get this information to the authorities. The lowest cost is not always the best route which is what a lot of pharmacies are going to these days. The solco brand is the best out there IMO but everyone’s biology is different. After making several complaints to my pharmacy (Walgreens) they will now only give me Actavis. But I’d prefer solco. Good luck.
I'm sorry you are having problems. I'm so sorry for everyone here. It's bad enough having to take a Benzo in the first place and now this... Everything is about money and if you don't have it you suffer. So tired of being the recepient of these drugs companies that make poor quality meds and I can only imagine what is in these pills. Why can't things just stay the same when they work? I had no issues with Teva. Been taking it since 2005. Now I feel like crap on most days and this all started back around April 2018.
OH MY, yes, my tinnitus is through the ROOF awful with Accord. I usually have low-level tinnitus (ear-ringing) but it's the worst it's been in a long time with this generic Accord-brand klonopin. Plus: massive headaches, body aches and joint pain, chest pain, stabbing pain under my ribs. This is lovely. Would love to get off klonopin altogether, the withdrawals, even with .5mg are difficult though - very vivid nightmares, anxiety, hear-racing. maybe that's better than this though.
I signed up just to respond to this thread.
Yes, the Accord brand does not work for me. It does not affect me the same way the TEVA brand did. I was given Accord in April 2018 and felt horrible. TEVA bought out Actavis and is now using their brand. I finally got the Activis brand in late June 2018 and it helped. Things have been fine since. HOWEVER, once again, my CVS only had 7 clonazepam pills today so they transferred my prescription to another CVS. I didn't think to ask about the brand. Just now, I went to take my pill and noticed they filled it with Accord.
Someone needs to get to the bottom of this. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.
They are playing with people's lives and I don't like it one bit.
Sounds like you need to switch to a Independent Pharmacy that allows you to specify what brand you want. Most will order and keep the pill brand of your choice.
You can have your doctor write your prescription to specify which generic brand should be filled. You can also have them write “no Accord.” I have my doctor write my script so that it is name brand only because I cannot take Accord and Teva is no longer being made. I had no idea I could do this until someone told me on here. Also, you may want to file a report with the FDA about your experience with Accord. Like many others here, we are trying to let the govt know what is going on and that the Accord brand is not effective. I hope you can get a better generic. Let us know how it turns out.
@ Pete Vleckman I think only part of what you said is right. Yes you're Dr can specify "name brand medically nesessary" and they have to give you name brand, but they cannot specify a pharmacy order a specific brand generic if they don't carry it. Most pharmacies get generics from their wholesalers and not all wholesalers can get specific generic brands. Some are exclusive to CVS while others are specific to Walgreens.
Unless things changed, that’s how I had Teva scripts written for 8 yrs; “Teva brand med necc.” Then when I was switched to name brand my doctor did the same thing because Teva was gone. You can also fill out a form at Walgreens/CVS that states what generics you prefer but again, this may have changed in the last year. Each pharmacy is different and will only have certain generics in stock but many pharmacies will overnight scripts in from manufacturers if they don’t carry a generic. You have to be persistent because many will say they don’t carry it and hope you just take what they give.
I was told at Walgreens less then a week ago they could not order specific generic brand controlled substances. I currently take Klonopin wafers from Par and tried to get the Teva generic version. Called probably 10 different CVS and Walgreens and all said the same. I also know that in the past year they have cracked down on transferring scripts for controlled substances only once after it has been written. You can now only transfer a controlled substance one time from the pharmacy you initially had it filled at. They said it's to keep people from prescription shopping , must be something to do with the DEA and tracking.
Your doctor must write the script specifically for it, unless that has changed as well. If you called 10 different pharmacies looking for Teva you would never find it since they stopped making clonazepam in April 2018. I know you can only get a CS filled once and cannot be transferred from another pharmacy. I have been taking a CS for 20+ years.
As I said above, I take Klonopin wafers which are still available by Teva. The reason given is that cannot special order a specific klonopin generic as it a controlled substance.
I don't know what Walgreens you went to but that is not correct information. The doctor CAN specify a certain brand. Good luck.
The one with the big red sign..
Same to you.
I understand you're upset but no need to take it out on someone else. Good luck.
Back in May when I realized the problem, I had CVS to only fill the prescription with the TEVA brand. This was before I started doing my research into this problem. So, CVS will oblige but I received an email from TEVA in June that told me the Actavis brand should be in stock. Therefore, I called the pharmacy and told them the could use the Actavis brand. I did not think to tell them NOT to use the Accord brand. The reason they had my email was because I called TEVA and argued with them for about half an hour. They said the generics were all the same. When I asked if they were the same why don't the continue making their brand. And it was my thought that they were not the same and they were choosing to use Actavis because it's cheaper to make. Of course they balked. They are not prepared to talk to someone like me. People's bodies are different therefore medications will not always react the same in each person.
I just read an article about collusion in the pharmacy industry concerning a blood pressure medication that suddenly became unavailable. The article was written by a doctor who gave good examples of why this was collusion and not due to machines breaking down or shortage of ingredients. Of course collusion is very difficult to prove.
I have also found an article about the manufacturers margins being squeezed. On the FDA website it shows that Mylan and one other company have discontinued making Clonazepam due to "business reasons".
I have sent an email to my doctor to see if there is something we can do. I will update this if/when I find something which will help others.
I apologize in advance if the above is confusing.
That one night of Accord clonazepam (the pharmacy screwed up) really messed me up. I still don't feel good. I am weepy, bitchy, my head hurts, and I feel very ill. I'm beginning to think that those Accord tabs are placebos and this is withdrawal. Who knows anymore what their putting in these drugs. I'm like you... really fed-up! I wish I was still taking the Teva brand!
I spoke with my pharmacist at CVS and she said that their warehouse is out of the TEVA/Actavis brand. How in the hell do you let yourself run out?
I just got a response from TEVA via email.
"Thank you for contacting Teva Pharmaceuticals Customer Service Department. Clonazepam Tablets are active and available. Teva is licensed to sell to wholesalers and distributors only; we do not know which pharmacies carry Teva’s product lines. You may wish to check a few other pharmacies in your area to find one that may carry our product or may agree to order our product for you. I hope this information has been helpful. If you have additional questions, feel free to give us a call. Thank you for contacting Teva Customer Service."
My gut tells me that with CVS' purchase of Aetna that they have decided to play hardball and do not wish to pay the price TEVA charges.
I have not checked with other pharmacies yet because I won't be able to get a refill for 30 days. However, I have decided that I will call a few pharmacies in the area to see if they have the TEVA/Actavis brand. If so, then my suspicions will be verified and I will no longer shop at CVS.
When your doctor wrote for name brand klonopin only, im assuming you needed a prior authorization before the pharmacy would fill the RX, do you know how long you had to wait to get the name brand? Like a few hrs a few days a week? I know it varies, so with someone whose had it done I thought maybe youd remember how long of a wait time you had having to get your insurances approval before you got your rx filled? Thanks!!
Pete, Should this be our responsibility to police our Doctors, or as part of what we pay them, should THEY be keeping track of how drugs are behaving? I'm thinking more along the latter.
EVERYONE.
If you are taking benzos for sleep, be aware that benzos interfere with stage 4 sleep so much, they can completely eliminate it. They will literally KEEP you sleep deprived, but unaware of it. There are better ways to assure yourself of sleep - explore them.

I'm having the same problem. The last three months I have been taking the Accord .5mg up to 4xd, and it's just not the same. I think what I had before was Northstar - little yellow pills. These just don't work as well. I'm getting headaches and having more anxiety, and I really tried to outlast these symptoms. I'm working with my pharmacy to see what else is available. Currently no one within an hour of me carries the Northstar. Frankly, I'm hoping to try anything else but Accord, and if I try something else and something else again and nothing works, I will ask my prescriber to request a waiver of brand penalty. Also, because it wasn't working so well, I tried for about a week knocking my amount of clonazepam down to .5mg 3xd and began to have terrible physical withdrawals a week later. So not only does it not work, but I'm going to have a rough time getting off of it. If it worked, I wouldn't even be trying to change things. Don't know if this is helpful, but just know you're not alone!
@btm000
... and you wont find Northstar ever again. It was originally manufactured by Sandoz and marketed by Northstar. Sandoz decided to quit manufacturing clonazepam so Sandoz and Northstar is no longer manufactured.
Here is a quote off FDA.gov:
"Sandoz Inc. has made a business decision to permanently discontinue Clonazepam Tablets, marketed by Northstar Rx LLC"
Try Actavis brand from CVS
Im so glad I found this site, I’ve been taking these Accord Orange pills for a couple of weeks and I thought it was just in my head. I take it at night for RLS and to help with falling asleep. I have not fallen asleep anytime before 2:00 am. Its been awful. I even take double the dose because I thought ive been having a change in myself. I wake up like a zombie feeling terrible. These orange pills are terrible. How do you go about getting the yellow ones back especially since I’m not even half way through this month. I can’t do this no sleep business anymore. Any suggestions?
I called my pharmacist every month for the last three months to see if they could get a different brand of generic, and they said that was the only brand available to them. (My pharmacy is attached to a large Midwestern grocery store.) This last month I called and begged them for anything else. They did say they could finally get the Northstar brand and filled it once my month supply was up. They are little and yellow but have flat sides and beveled edges as opposed to the Northstar I was used to. It does work tons better than the Accord. I think someone besides Sandoz must have contracted with Northstar to have their brand made. I don't know what company that is, but my headache finally went away and I feel closer to my usual self.
I'm getting massive headaches too. and body aches all other. some chest pains that have scared me, and my digestive track is all messed up with stomach pains. I'm going to go on the name-brand Klonopin to try to avoid all of these change-ups in the generics. my mental health is too important to have these stupid companies messing with it! (argh). Glad that you are all here to share, thank you...
100% what u said & your issues are exactly what has happened to me. I have a small supply of some "older" YELLOW clonazepam and, have been using it (what little I had in my travel bag)... what a relief, as it verify s to me it's NOT my imagination of how really BAD Accord is. I will tell my doc, but sure he will say "find a pharmacy that will get in Activist"... Most of the docs rarely believe, we as long time patients KNOW how it does or does not work. Keep the faith and push on for the RIGHT Klonopin!
I’ve been taking klonopin and klonopin generic 1mg at night for 20 years. When I switched to Teva brand - I felt no difference from the brand name. BUT recently the pharmacies all dropped Teva and started prescribing Accord... I can’t even begin to say how bad I felt all day after taking this. It’s absolutely NOT the same. After reading 100s of comments on here - I found a pharmacy that could still get brand name Klonopin... Yes I pay about $100 for 30 2mg (I break them in half) and they last 60 days. But I feel great again. It’s worth the price to feel better. This generic crap has to stop!! I have other prescriptions that are in jeopardy also... Big pharma control needs to be taking down!
I cant find Teva anywhere, Teva wrote and told me on the phone that they are going to start making clonazepam again at the end of the summer I dont believe them. I hate Accord its not the same I am so depressed and never want to do anything I cry constantly, never did with Teva. What a disgrace
I just now registered with this site solely to contribute to this conversation thread about Accord Health. I was just fine taking the Actavis 1 mg clonazepam for the last few months. Then, last month I received my refill with the Accord brand. Where I normally take 1 pill and do just fine, I took FOUR 1 mg Accord pills - nothing. And I mean nothing. I went back to my pharmacy and they let me switch out my bottle with the Solco brand (which works very well)... and I was extremely thankful because pharmacies do not usually let you do this. I called Walgreens, CVS, Kroger and Walmart. All of them are stocking their shelves with this horrible Accord brand. So, now I am panicking about my next refill. Next month, I am going to a local independent pharmacy who can order a different generic which I was relieved to hear. This Accord feedback is 100% sincere and I hope the right people are watching this form and taking notice.
Last week, I submitted an FDA report about the poor quality of this medication and asked them to please test this company's drugs. After doing some research, come to find out, this is an Indian company and these pills are manufactured in India. This is not a US company offshoring their manufacturing so it stands to reason their quality is highly suspect. All, if you were similarly affected by this nightmare, please consider filling out an FDA report to let them know. This medication is used to calm a bad case of diverticulitis for me as well as anxiety so this isn't just because I want to feel less panicky. I rely on this medication so I can be productive and not be in pain. Very disappointed in what is happening here and I hope enough voices are heard so they can kick this manufacturer out or hold them to higher standards. Also very distressing having to call multiple pharmacies and inquire about manufacturers. Makes me feel like I'm shopping around for pills which is a horrible feeling.
CALL COSTCO. You do NOT need to be a member to get a RX at Costco. They WILL order in Activist for you, even though they too had switched to Accord. THEY know the complaints with ACCORD. I've been on generic klonopin for over 30 years due to TBI/epilepsy, etc. I can guarantee you, the ACCORD brand is as good as a sugar pill. A placebo as far as I am concerned! WHY does the FDA look into OUR very valid complaints???
It’s been terrible for me I’m in on week one and feel like I’m loosing my mind one pill at a time
I’ve been taking TEVA for 8 years now I was given Accord and it’s terrible ! I feel worse !! I need to find a new pharmacy that has whatever leftover TEVA they have
You are not alone
I’m praying I find a year supply or something
Switch to the Teva disintegrating tablets. You'll have to get a new script from your DR
This Accord brand is also affecting me. High stress levels. Rapid breathing. I've been testing negative for benzodiazapines. I told my doctor I would do a blood test, hair follicle, even a lie detector test!! I'd even pay for it. Well since I learned of this not being in my system I have really been worried something is wrong with my body. So what I've been doing all month is videoing my bottle, the pills in it, the pill itself, and me swallowing the pill. Mind you, I do this 2x daily. Well while I was fooling with the video, I have a 4 lb chiuhuahua that sneaks anything that hits the kitchen floor. Well 1 dropped! I kept kicking her back and she stayed away but when I leaned over to pick it up she bolted in and got it from under the cabinet! I was freaked. So my boyfriend got home from work and we were on stand by to head to the emergency vet but she just got a bit wobbly for 15 or 20 minutes and then was straight as an arrow.
The vet did say they use this medication for animals but that strength should have knocked her out. She was wobbly but full of energy. So I learned my lesson well... over the sink. But if that's all it did to a 4lb dog who is not used to medication maybe that's an indication that this medication isn't worth the pill its cut out of!!
I was taking Teva and just picked up Accord and I'm convinced it's nothing but a sugar pill. I usually take 1 mg a day. I took 1 mg and felt nothing. So I took another 1 mg after 2 hours and still felt NOTHING. I'm going to try a different generic. The pharmacists all tell me that "Generics are all the same" which is simply not true! I'm going through withdrawal!
Yes, have been taking clonazapem for decades. All of a sudden, I became anxious even with higher doses. I thought I was just too stressed. But when I looked back and checked my pills, pharmacy switched from Teva to Accord. After going back to Teva or Mylan, I am back to my old self. It is definitely the clonazapem from Accord that wrecked havoc.
TEVA brand is better than Accord Brand based on my experience. Is TEVA brand still available?
This is so ironic. I just had this conversation with my therapist last week. I had yellow 0.5mg tabs for years then switched to the orange Accord brand a few months ago and it seemed like I went through a major adjustment period - anxiety/panic/emotional/depressed. The reason I brought all this up in therapy is after taking these "orange tabs" 3x a day for a few months now 2 weeks ago I had blood work & a urine screen. I tested negative for benzodiazepines. I am going to give it about a month and get tested again. Meanwhile I have to find a new doctor as it appeared I was lying just to get clonazepam and he will no longer see me. This is very frustrating!
A lot of people who are taking the Accord brand are choosing to do urine test to see what their levels are. I’m glad you did too. Please consider contacting the FDA and letting them know that this drug does not contain any benzodiapine and that you have a urine analysis as proof. It seems to be the only way to get the government to listen to us. I’m sorry you, like many other including myself, have to go through this. Now of yesterday, I got accord brand. Don't know yet, how it will effect me. I really didn't mind the Qualityiou brand, wish I could get that back. I guess I'll know in three weeks how this effects me.
Actually on day four, I don't find them as sedation. Which I really need. Hopefully they will start working right.
