I had not looked up the regular dosage. 15mg nevet worked for pain in the past. I wanted some sleep so took stronger dose. I am a bit tired now.
I took 45mg. of meloxicam so what do I need to know and look out for?

Hi Nicolelee1, You should not take 45mg of Meloxicam that is too high & cause havoc with your stomach! I too take that drug, but only 15mg. a day (sometimes I do without a couple of days) . I have stenosis in my neck & lower lumber spine, used to get steroid injections but they only lasted 3month... it is not good if you have osteoporosis. I have Fibromyalgia as well & it helps w/that too, but I take Lyrica for that. Did your Doctor prescribe that high of a dose? There are other drugs for sleep! Wishing you all the best.
Meloxicam is just an NSAID like aspirin I take it for my knees have some food in your body worst thing maybe a little drowsy
I finally spoke to the Pharmacist who said they will eventually eat a hole in your stomach at that dose and can result in kidney problems. He said don't take over 15 mg. a day and they are time released to work all day.
