Which ones are stronger & would help with my severe anxiety and panic attacks? Also are the 2mg xanax the same as the 2mg kpins? Please respond as soon as you can.

Wildcat is completely right and I agree with her, follow her advice and seek medical advice.
Benzodiazepines are not to be taken lighlty and conversion tables/calculators are not the proper way to compare them, everyone is different in everyway and reacts to medications differently plus take gender, age, weight, etc., into account in order for you to get the proper help you need.

I am trying to come off Xanax. I would rather try something natural like cannabis. It has been proven to help. Me have had sever anxiety disorder since I was in puberty. The only time I remember not having panic attacks was in my 20s and late teens when I experimented with Marijuana. I have been on 5mg of Xanax for 10 years now. And wondering the easiest way to ween off.Kpins do nothing for me.

Xanax is one of the weaker but immediate benzo; clonazepam is stronger and takes longer for a different effect; used for epilepsy as well.

Hello. I will try my best to answer your question the best I can. Personally, from experience, I've tried Xanax 1mg, and Klonopin 2 mg. I used to think I preferred the Xanax but I changed my mind. I prefer the Clonioin 2mg; it DOES last much longer. The danger with the Xanax, is one minute, you're up and awake, the next, out like a light. And I never felt it coming on. You never do feel it coming on.

Klonopin is longer lasting 1 1.5 day shelf life... stayes in your system longer than xanax at 4 to 8 hrs... Klonopin is alot better for me and my never ending attacks and anxiety... since 24 started... best wishes..Debbie..

I am prescribed 2mg Clonazepam (Klonopin) ... Xanax 2mg are fine for anxiety but only laat for 4-6 hours... KLONOPIN has a longer half life and there is no comparison in my opinion... if your really trying to treat anxiety there is no comparison when it comes to that mg... 2mg KLONOPIN are wayyyyy better than Xanax 2mg... now lower doses were talking a different story..but that's my opinion and answer to this question

From what I've read, technically clonazepam is slightly stronger but they are close in potency. I've been prescribed alprazolam in the past, and to me it felt stronger, sometimes, for a short period of time but I've also been on klonopin longer, so I can't make a proper assessment on either. Alprazolam was more effective at inducing a comforting state when lying down and not feeling all the physical symptoms such as my heart thumping hard in my neck but it didn't seem to be as noticeable while up and about as clonazepam is. It was at most times "silent" when it kicked in, sort of like you don't really notice it until you realize you've calmed down from anxiousness within a half an hour to an hour of taking it, and causes this heavy woozy feel around the forehead and eyes for within an hour or 2 after taking before it begins mellow down.
But after that it doesn't really feel like much is happening, and it's made me feel disassociated once or a few times, and it even though I though I was going to sleep nice on it, nights or naps felt crappy, and I've woken up with a stiff neck and/or headache. Clonazepam takes longer for peak effects but lasts longer with less uncomfortable side effects when they do appear.

The issue of strength when comparing Xanax and Klonopin is utterly fruitless unless the question is more guided toward a specific reslve. As it stands this question can only be answered that 2 mg of Klonopin is in fact stronger than 1 mg of Xanax.

Everybody's different, but I take 1 1/2 mg. Xanax for sleep. I've taken 1mg clonazepam for sleep. The reaction time is longer for clonazepam.

I say eat 5g of Mushrooms and say screw the pharmaceutical BS. Ever thought about what folks did before modern day medicine? They visited their local witch doctor or Shaman who in turn took them on a psychedelic experience that will change them for the better. This over prescribing of medicine is what is destroying the collective consciousness of humanity! Fwiw the xanax are stronger. Hope you find some help! Eat more mushrooms

Klonopin is stronger. But! Xanax is fast acting for panic attacks, those are horrible, right?
See Xanax is like ur hyper friend, comes in fast, doesn't stay long.
Klonopin is like a fishing trip, starts slow, low key, and lasts 40 hours. Seriously, 1 dose of klonopin lasts 40 hours, I read in a medical journal that ur not supposed to take it more than 4 months.
But, If u need it, it's super useful. Come to read some of the klonopin withdrawal communes posts?

I can tell you one thing clonazepam cost $275 for 30 day supply Xanax $101 for a 30 day supply you figure it out why would a doctor want to prescribe you the higher end prescription your guess do I trust Dr one or two out of how many

I've been on clonazepam for 7 years, currently 1mg twice daily (BID). I started on 1mg at night and 0.5mg daily as needed for breakthrough (1.5mg a day). Now I take 1.5 mg at night and 0.5mg PRN for breakthrough, so #60 tablets a month. I can tell you from experience and from my psychiatrist's own words: contrary to belief, clonazepam is x2 stronger than alprazolam. It has a higher affinity for the benzo receptors, a longer half life, and because the potency is the same but half life is longer, it is by definition stronger. Xanax can be more recreational because it packs a punch. Think of it as getting the entire dose of Klonopin over 8-12 hours vs 15-30min hour. But, my doc offered to let me try Xanax. I ultimately turned it down but he did say he'd have to give me 4mg of Xanax to keep me comfortable switching from Klonopin. He suggested 3mg Xanax XR and 1mg once daily of Xanax Or for breakthrough.
For me, and every brain is different, I can take 4mg of Klonopin and remember my day/not feel sleepy. 4mg of Xanax won't hold me all day. Definitely stick with Klonopin. Safest, strongest, and easiest to ween. Plus like others said, Xanax is really designed for short term use Or to be used for PRN panick attacks. #klonopin4life

Also every benzo has five main properties of action and each one is stronger in a combination of the five categories. Anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, hypnotic/amnesia, and sedative. Clonazepam is a very effective anxiolytic, muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant. Alprazolam is a stronger hypnotic/amnesia inducing agent as well as anxiolytic. You wouldn't give someone going into a seizure an IV dose of Alprazolam, you'd use Lorazepam or clonazepam. I've heard of epileptics taking 10+ mg of clonazepam a day to control seizure activity. Not sure how you get.out of bed on that dose but some do. I think the FDA will allow max of 6mg/day for GAD/panic but up to 20mg/day for epilepsy.

In general, Clonazepam efficacy drops if you're over 2.5mg. If you find yourself needing more than that, it's time to explore other medications. Over 2.5 and memory/cognitive impairment starts to outweigh benefits except in certain cases.
