Side effects include:
Most common adverse reactions (≥5%): injection site reactions, vasodilatory signs and symptoms, headache, diarrhea, back pain, hypercalcemia, oropharyngeal pain.

Applies to palopegteriparatide: subcutaneous solution.
General adverse events
Adverse reactions occurring in at least 5% of patients included elevated albumin-corrected serum calcium, injection site reactions, vasodilatory signs and symptoms, headache, diarrhea, back pain, hypercalcemia, and oropharyngeal pain.[Ref]
Cardiovascular
- Very common (10% or more): Vasodilatory signs and symptoms (28%)
Gastrointestinal
- Very common (10% or more): Diarrhea (10%)
Hypersensitivity
- Frequency not reported: Hypersensitivity reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, and urticaria have been observed with parathyroid hormone analogs
Immunologic
- Common (1% to 10%): Anti-drug antibodies
Local
Metabolic
- Very common (10% or more): Elevated albumin-corrected serum calcium greater than 10.6 mg/dL (54.1%), elevated albumin-corrected serum calcium greater than 12 mg/dL (13.1%)
- Common (1% to 10%): Hypercalcemia, symptomatic hypercalcemia
Musculoskeletal
- Common (1% to 10%): Back/flank/spinal pain
Nervous system
- Very common (10% or more): Headache (21%)
Oncologic
- Postmarketing reports: Osteosarcoma (with use of teriparatide)
Respiratory
- Common (1% to 10%): Oropharyngeal pain
