What is Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads?
Witch hazel is an astringent. It shrinks swollen tissue and provide relief from itching and irritation.
Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads (for the skin) is a combination medicine used to relieve rectal pain, pressure, irritation, and mild bleeding caused by hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads will not treat or cure a hemorrhoid, it will only relieve the symptoms.
This medicine is also used to relieve vaginal discomfort after childbirth. Glycerin and witch hazel may also be applied to the diaper area of a baby.
Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Do not take Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads by mouth. It is for use only on your rectum.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have bloody diarrhea or severe pain, bleeding, or irritation around your rectum.
Before taking this medicine
You should not use Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads if you are allergic to glycerin or witch hazel.
Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice.
How should I use Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads?
Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
It is best to use this medication after using the bathroom or having a bowel movement.
You may use a Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads medicated pad up to 6 times per day.
After using the medicated pad, you may flush it down a toilet or septic system.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Since Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads is used when needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. Skip any missed dose if it's almost time for your next dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
What happens if I overdose?
An overdose of Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.
What should I avoid while using glycerin and witch hazel topical?
Do not take Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads by mouth. It is for use only on the skin around your anus.
Avoid using laxatives in combination with Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads unless your doctor has told you to.
Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using Hemorrhoidal Hygiene Pads and call your doctor at once if you have:
bloody diarrhea; or
severe pain, bleeding, or irritation of the skin around your rectum.
Less serious side effects are more likely, and you may have none at all.

Remember, keep this and all other medicines out of the reach of children, never share your medicines with others, and use this medication only for the indication prescribed.
