What's the easiest way to open a Rybelsus bottle?
Step-by-step guide to open your Rybelsus bottle:
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Find the child-resistant blue cap on the top of the Rybelsus bottle.
- Look for markings on the bottle cap that show which way to twist the cap to open. Hold the blue cap tightly with one hand, the bottle with the other hand, and push down and twist the cap (usually in a counter-clockwise direction). If needed, use a rubber grip or towel for a better hold.
- The cap should separate from the white plastic strip below it. Repeat the steps to open the bottle, if needed.
- If the white plastic strip still does not separate from the bottle cap, contact your pharmacy for further instructions or assistance in opening the bottle.
Speak with your pharmacist the first time you receive your Rybelsus prescription to learn about opening your bottle.
The blue cap on the Rybelsus bottle is equipped with a drying agent to help protect the medicine from moisture. Moisture may affect how well your medicine works, so it is important to keep the tablets dry and the bottle cap intact.
Do not store your Rybelsus tablets in any other container or pill box. Storing the tablets in another container or changing their form (like crushing, chewing, splitting or dissolving) before you are ready to take them can reduce how well the medicine works. Swallow your tablet whole as directed.
Keep the tablets in the closed, original container and store them at room temperature 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) until you are ready to take one. Always store the tablets in a dry place away from moisture. Storing the Rybelsus bottle in the bathroom may expose the tablets to moisture from steam or water.
If you miss a dose of Rybelsus, skip that dose and take the next scheduled dose the following day.
Always keep the Rybelsus tablets and containers out of the reach of children and pets.
