Before you undergo any imaging procedure where iomeprol may be injected directly into the spine, let your doctor know if you are currently being treated with lisdexamfetamine. Injection of iomeprol into the spine can sometimes cause seizures, and the risk may be increased if you are also using other medications that can cause seizures such as lisdexamfetamine. You may be more susceptible if you are elderly, undergoing alcohol or drug withdrawal, have a history of seizures, or have a condition affecting the central nervous system such as a brain tumor or head trauma. Your doctor may want to withhold lisdexamfetamine for a certain length of time before and after the procedure, or you may need to be monitored more closely during the procedure. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Using lisdexamfetamine together with alcohol can increase the risk of cardiovascular side effects such as increased heart rate, chest pain, or blood pressure changes. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with lisdexamfetamine. Let your doctor know if you experience severe or frequent headaches, chest pain, and/or a fast or pounding heartbeat. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
