Drug Interaction Report
1 potential interaction and/or warning found for the following 2 drugs:
- Bioclate (antihemophilic factor)
- pegloticase
Interactions between your drugs
antihemophilic factor pegloticase
Applies to: Bioclate (antihemophilic factor), pegloticase
Treatment with pegloticase may cause antihemophilic factor to be less effective in some cases. Many patients treated with pegloticase develop antibodies against one of the components that is also found in antihemophilic factor. High levels of the antibodies have been associated with reduced effectiveness of pegloticase, so it is possible that they may also interfere with the effects of antihemophilic factor. Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen during treatment with these medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
