- temsirolimus
Interactions between your drugs
amphotericin B liposomal temsirolimus
Applies to: AmBisome (amphotericin b liposomal), temsirolimus
Temsirolimus may cause kidney problems, and combining it with other medications that can also affect the kidney such as amphotericin B liposomal may increase that risk. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you experience symptoms that may suggest kidney damage such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain or weight loss, fluid retention, swelling, shortness of breath, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, confusion, and irregular heart rhythm. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
temsirolimus food
Applies to: temsirolimus
If you are receiving therapy with temsirolimus you should avoid grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of temsirolimus in your body and lead to dangerous side effects. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor.
