Drug Interactions between lemborexant and Ozempic

Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, or any supplements that contain grapefruit extract during treatment with lemborexant unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Grapefruit juice can increase the blood levels of lemborexant. This may increase the risk of side effects such as central nervous system depression, abnormal sleep behaviors, worsening of depression or suicidal thoughts, changes in heartbeat, or headache. Food may affect the absorption of semaglutide when taken orally. It is recommended that oral semaglutide be taken 30 minutes before first food, beverage, or other oral medications of the day with no more than 4 ounces of plain water. You may experience more side effects including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea if you fast longer than 30 minutes after the semaglutide dose.
