Usual Adult Dose for Prostate Cancer
296 MBq intravenously (8 mCi) as a slow intravenous injection.
Comments:
- Calculate the necessary volume to administer based on the calibration time and required dose.
- The recommended maximum volume of undiluted drug is 5 mL.
- Use this radiopharmaceutical within 10 hours from end of synthesis.
Use:
For PET of PSMA positive lesions in men with prostate cancer:
- with suspected metastasis who are candidates for initial definitive therapy
- with suspected recurrence based on elevated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels

Administration advice:
- Physicians experienced in the safe use of radionuclides and who have been approved by the appropriate governmental agency should handle this drug.
- Make sure safe drug handling and patient preparation procedures are followed to protect patients and health care providers from unintentional radiation exposure. Use waterproof gloves, effective radiation shielding, including syringe shields, and other appropriate safety measures.
- Inspect for particulate matter and discoloration before administration.
- Do not use the drug if the solution contains particulate matter or is discolored.
Storage requirements:
- Store at 20C to 25C (68F to 77F) in the original container with appropriate shielding to protect from radiation.

General:
- Tumors that do not express PSMA will not be visualized.
Patient advice:
