Usual Adult Dose for Positron Emission Tomography Imaging
Usual dose: 370 MBq (10 mCi), as an intravenous bolus injection in a total volume of 10 mL or less
Use: To be used with positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of the brain to estimate the density and distribution of aggregated tau neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) in adult patients with cognitive impairment who are being assessed for Alzheimer's disease.

Administration advice:
- Before administration, it is recommended to verify the pregnancy status of female patients of reproductive age.
- When preparing and administering this drug, use sterile technique and protect yourself from radiation.
- Before administration, visually inspect the solution to ensure it is clear and colorless without any particles. If it appears discolored or has particles, do not use it.
- This drug can be diluted with 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection using sterile technique, up to a maximum dilution of 1:5. Use the diluted product within 4 hours of dilution and before the expiration date.
- Prior to administration, measure the dose with a suitable dose calibrator.
- After administration, flush the intravenous line with 0.9% Sodium Chloride injection, USP. Ensure to dispose of any unused drug in accordance with the relevant regulations.
- This drug should only be received, used, and administered by authorized individuals who are qualified through training and experience.
- When administering this drug, appropriate safety measures should be taken to reduce radiation exposure. This includes using waterproof gloves and effective shielding, such as syringe shields, during preparation and handling.
Storage requirements:
- Store at 25C (77F); excursions permitted to 15C to 30C (59F to 86F).
- Store upright in a shielding container.
General:
The use of this drug is not indicated to assess patients for chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Patient advice:
- Patients should be informed about the radiation risks associated with this drug.
- It is important to inform a pregnant woman about the potential risks of fetal exposure to radiation doses associated with this drug.
- To minimize radiation exposure to a breastfed infant, a lactating woman should be advised to avoid breastfeeding for 4 hours after administration.
