Cetrorelix (applies to Cetrotide) severe allergies

Major Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility.

Treatment with cetrorelix is not advised in women with severe allergic conditions. Cases of hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactoid reactions with the first dose, have been reported during postmarketing surveillance, and a rare case of a severe anaphylactic reaction was observed after 7 months of treatment. Special care should be taken in women with signs and symptoms of active allergic conditions or known history of allergic predisposition.

Major

Cetrorelix (applies to Cetrotide) severe renal impairment

Major Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Renal Dysfunction

The use of cetrorelix is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment. Additionally, pharmacokinetic investigations have not been performed in subjects with impaired renal function.

Moderate

Cetrorelix (applies to Cetrotide) hepatic impairment

Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Liver Disease

Pharmacokinetic investigations have not been performed in subjects with impaired liver function. Caution is advised if used in these patients.
