"These comments pertain to pokeberries only and not other parts of the plant. I have had warts, almost all on my hands and a few on my ankles from about the mid-1970s, where no conventional cure had worked. In 1991, a Traditional Clan Mother of the Deer Clan of the Southern Cherokee Confederacy suggested that I apply crushed pokeberries to the warts. I did, and the warts shortly were stained a bright red color, disappeared in about two weeks, and, as of 2018, have not returned. I have read about pokeweed and pokeberries in a number of sources, but have not heard of them being used as a cure for warts."

"I have been eating poke berries for a few months now. I started with one a day and now I'm up to 4 a day. I've never had any bad reactions to them. The only thing is, do not chew the seeds. Swallow them whole. Never chew the seeds. They are perfectly fine if you take them the right way. I take them mainly for my back pain. Also for the other benefits. Don't let big pharma scare you off of them. I haven't had to take pain pills since I started taking them."
