For Hiatal Hernia "Been taking this now for 34 years, symptoms now a lot worse, and I have just been told to increase the med. This has not worked, I am in constant pain, struggling to eat, but due to COVID, not able to get any help!"

For GERD "I've been taking this for under two weeks and was almost tempted to go to the hospital. I've had extremely bad pain in the right side of my rib cage near the bottom end of the ribs. After poking around and looking, there was no bruise, and my ribs didn't hurt, so no sign of injury. I was deeply concerned as I have COPD, asthma overlap. I truly believe, after looking online and talking with others on this medicine, that it's down to these tablets, as they have had the same issues. I can't say anything regarding depression or anxiety, as I've had this since I was 10 years old. I don't feel any more mentally ill than I already am, so this part is stable. But my lord, the rib pain literally had me unable to clean or cook. It seems to have died down now, so may continue with the meds, as I can't go back to having this acid wreck my life. But I will be keeping an eye out. Hopefully, like most medicine, you have side effects that pass after a while of taking it."

Omeprazole for GERD "My dad suffered from bleeding ulcers and long-term heartburn. He also had debilitating migraine headaches. I seem to be following in his footsteps, but with more options and knowledge. Recently, I was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia, which seems to have aggravated the acid reflux. I started taking Omeprazole (1-20 mg tablet before breakfast). Within 3 days, the pain, burping, and shortness of breath were gone. Don't think this drug helps migraines, but I feel so much better. Before, stomach pain rarely let up. Also, I finally read that migraines and acid reflux, plus stomach pain, often come as a package. Now I get it! Thank you for sharing...."

For GERD "This drug is awful. During lockdown, my diet went terrible, and I ended up feeling sick, weak, and constantly on the verge of panic attacks. I started taking omeprazole, and after about a week, I started experiencing bladder and vaginal flutters and an awful burning sensation whenever I didn't drink water. I thought it was a UTI, so I got antibiotics, but they didn't touch it, and as time went on, I developed a god-awful itchy red rash all over my body, prickly heat on my hands and legs, and a general feeling of grossness, like my body knew something was wrong. I weaned myself off last October, it's now almost July of this year, and urination is still painful, my vagina still burns whenever my leg itches come back, and peeing hurts all the time, and I have urinary retention from the pain!"

For GERD "I have taken low-dose omeprazole for the last 20 years. I am a bit concerned about long-term usage. I have been getting leg pain, and I heard it's not good long-term on your bone health."

For Multiple Endocrine Adenomas "Excellent. My stomach was a mess: pains, tightness, bloated. Did a colonoscopy which cleared a few problems but still had problems and potty six times a day in pain and took forever. Doctor tried other meds, expensive and not cured. He tried this and I almost gave up - it takes a while. The doctor said nothing to lose, stick with it to really get going. It is three months now and it's really helped my stomach. I move my bowels twice a day, with ease and no cramps or pain at all."
