For Fibromyalgia "I have suffered from Fibromyalgia for over 20 years and never even knew about the condition until I was diagnosed by my rheumatologist. After years of suffering from flu like symptoms, fatigue, and overall muscle and joint pain, I finally agreed to try the medication. I only take Tylenol for the pain and was reluctant to go on any type of medication. My doctor prescribed the Savella trial pack which started with 12.5 mg and up. Other than slight nausea in the first week, I have never felt better in my life. I wake up in the morning pain and stiffness free. I thank God for Savella and hope that it works for other people as it has worked for me. Still on the 12.5 after two months and am doing great!"

For Fibromyalgia "At first it helped with pain and fatigue but after two years, bad side effects. Hot flashes, not hormonal, pain, fatigue etc. Trying to stop taking it but having lots of leg cramps while titrating off. Good luck all!"

For Fibromyalgia "I am on day number 3 and have not notice any changes yet so hopefully as I continue to use it I will start seeing a change. I see a lot of people talking about the cost if cost is a problem I would suggest going to the website and there are coupons that you can use. I use coupons on most of my medication and it helps a lot so anytime you are prescribed medications always go to there website. The coupons usually last for about 10 refills but when it expires you can always get another one. Hope this helps."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been on Savella for about 2 weeks now and I have not had any side effects.. Today I feel a bit tired but other then that I really like how most of my pain is gone and also have lost about 15 lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks.. I am really happy that I am able to move around like normal. Yes I do give myself time to relax that is the key when having this fibromyalgia. I give Savella 2 thumbs up."

For Fibromyalgia "I have just started taking this about a week ago. I had been taking opiates for the last 7 years and decided to stop. I went cold turkey to detox my body and it was awful for a while but I read about Savella and thought I would give it a try. Cymbalta and Lyrica did not help, marijuana did not help and I dare say Lyrica and Cymbalta made it worse so I was a bit skeptical about Savella. Now I can honestly say it started to work immediately. I am pain free as I type this. I have to take another dose in about 12 hours but that is ok. No real side effects yet thankfully. I have not felt this good in years even with the opiates. Fingers crossed it continues to work. Interestingly I had to research this myself in desperation and I had to tell my doctors I wanted to try it. Go figure that my pain Dr/Neurologist and my GP never mentioned this drug. I wonder if they just wanted to keep me visiting them once a month for scrip refills. dose 12.5 mg"

For Fibromyalgia "Savella has really improved my life. I am a nurse who works 12h shifts & before this drug I had to crawl out of bed, work my 12h shifts, then sleep for days until time to return to work again. Now, I have a new lease on life & this is the 1st time in 25 yrs where I dont feel as I was dragged under a bus all night when I get up. It has not been without side effects. Most notably rapid heartbeat (up to 125), sweats, hostility & irritability. Ive found that 6. 25mg daily is the most I can tolerate. It does not come in this dosage, but I break a 12. 5mg tablet in half. My pain is not totally gone, but the fatigue is remarkably better. A couple tylenols twice daily helps with the pain & stiffness. Keep trying to find right dose for you."

For Fibromyalgia "Worked wonders for me! After about a month on Savella I began to feel human again. It was so odd because I had forgotten what that felt like. Was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 10 years ago and started on Savella about 10 months ago. I am exercising and working in my yard every day. I had not done this for years. My family is even amazed at the difference. Thank you for this medication!"

For Fibromyalgia "I loved this medicine. It worked extremely well for my fibromyalgia symptoms. Unfortunately I had some severe side effects and had to stop taking it. Blood pressure up to 187/90 and severe headaches even after a month on it...If you only have minor side effects this may be well worth for some."

For Fibromyalgia "I'm a 51 year old female. My fibromyalgia was diagnosed 6 years ago in 2003. I also have neuropathy, degenerative disc disease, Celiac's disease and an assortment of auto-immune disorders. I've just completed the first two weeks of being on Savella. Only in the past few days have I noticed a very slight easing up of my pain. The side effects that I am experiencing are: Dry Mouth, Increased Headaches, Some Blurred Vision, Increased Tingling, Mild Constipation, Some Short Term Memory Problems, Moments of Confusion/Disorientation, and a Few Episodes of Increased Heart Rate. I've decided to continue with the Savella, at least for 4 more weeks, as long as I can tolerate the side effects. Of course, it's my hope that I'll see more reduction in my pain levels as my body adjusts to taking the Savella. In the past, I've tried to take Lyrica, two different times. However, the side effects from it were simply unbearable."

For Fibromyalgia "Since I was 16 years old I've been in so much pain! I also deal with endometriosis and TMJ, so the pain can get pretty unbearable! I'm only 23 and a stay at home mom of a two year old, so you can just imagine how bad things can get! I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia last month and my doctor gave me Savella. I can honestly tell you within one week the huge difference it had made! I was very emotional the first time I finally felt relaxed, as you can imagine 7 years of constant pain had taken a huge tool on my young life (which I pretty much missed out on college, parties etc.) I haven't had any side effects with Savella, it has saved me! I really hope it works for you as much as it does for me!"

For Fibromyalgia "Savella has changed my life! I'm 23 years old & was diagnosed with Fibro when I was 15 and no one had ever really even heard of the disease at that time. I had extreme pain 24 hours a day. Some days I couldn't walk because of the pain in my hips or lift my arms because of the pain in my shoulders. Savella has helped me to do everyday things again. I still have small pain when it gets cold, but other than that, the pain is pretty much gone. At the beginning, I had small stomach aches, and was slightly constipated, but that has since passed over the 3 months I have been on it. The only side effect I still have is I sweat when I sleep. It's not a lot, I just never used to before. But I will take those small side effects for the comfort I now have!"

For Fibromyalgia "I have suffered from Chronic Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia for twenty years and have been on high-dose morphine, Neurontin, Lyrica, Cymbalta and others, all of which had very bad side-effects and awful withdrawal syndromes. Three weeks ago I started Savella, but titrated very slowly 12.5mg/day for two weeks and now 25 mg per day. There were some pretty bad days of side-effects in the first week and still some nausea and difficulty sleeping, but the benefits are much better than any other drug I've used for pain and fatigue. My pain was always at 9.5, and is now mostly around 4-6 (a vast improvement). Unlike all the other SSRIs I've tried, Savella gives me energy and new optimism!"

For Fibromyalgia "Within the first few days of starting Savella the pain in my arms and legs had disappeared and I was more alert during the day. I had slight nausea and sadness as I completed the titration process, but these symptoms did eventually go away. One of the best things that happened during this time was that my weight stabilized after steadily gaining for 6 months due to the constant exhaustion. Unfortunately my neck and back pain initially worsened but returned to my personal base line after a few weeks. This pain has not gone away, but stayed with me. My only problem may be something unique to me - It took away my drive to be active. I finally have the energy, but now have no desire. Wish I knew how to work this out."

For Fibromyalgia "Savella gave me my life back!! I was diagnosed in 1999 during junior year of high school and I am now 30 years old and able to start living my life again. I am now holding down a part time job, returning to school full time in a medical technology program and reconnecting with friends. I have a life again, I have a future again thanks to this medication!"

For Fibromyalgia "I started Savella for fibromyalgia. I only took it for four days before ending up in emergency room. It increased blood pressure which is normally around 101/62 and now shot up to 138/98 in 4 days!!!! I ended up in the hospital with palpitations and heart squeezing with chest pain so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. This drug feels like poison to me. I just got released from the hospital and waiting for the Savella to leave my body. It's a shame because I did feel pain relief. I have one kidney and was hoping this would be my saving grace. I don't know where to go from here. I am already on Gabapentin."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been taking Savella for about 3 weeks and it has made such a difference in my life. I felt like I was ready to just give up for the last year it was getting so hard to push through the pain and being tired and sleepy all the time. I went to my doctor and she gave me Savella and gave me my life back. I have suffered no side effects yet and I hope I don't because I haven't felt this good in a very long time. If you haven't tried this please do ...it could change your life."

For Fibromyalgia "This medicine helped a lot with the pain. The problem was the side effects. I did not mind the weight loss, but the sweating and the high blood pressure were side effects that could not be ignored. Therefore, I had to stop taking it."

For Fibromyalgia "Savella was a miracle drug for me, I had tons of energy and no pain. I was able to start going to the gym and walking 5km in a month. After going up to 50mg 2x day I started to get random little patches of hives, hot flashes and flushed face. I stayed on it for 2 months hoping the symptoms would go away as the benefits outweighed the side effects, however rashes got worse so I had to go off of it."

For Fibromyalgia "I am a guy with fibro - one of the minority so it seems. Tried Cymbalta and my story is so much like everyone elses'. But Savella changed my life - no fibromyalgia fog, no hurting in the morning, more energy, better outlook on life, just generally feel like a new person. The recommendation from my doctor for Savella was a huge blessing."

For Fibromyalgia "I have tried every medicine and NOTHING worked for my pain. I have been on Savella for a little over a month now and I am almost pain free. Savella has given me my life back! Doctor was very careful when upping the dose so I've just been on the full dosage of 50 mg. Twice a day for a week now. No adverse side effects at all. I am a 56 year old female. The only other medicines I take is my 2 medicines for high blood pressure. My blood pressure is being monitored and so far everything is fine. I highly recommend this. It is a miracle for me."

For Fibromyalgia "Been using Savella (50 mg 2 X daily) for 9 weeks and it's made a HUGE difference in my pain. Not 100% pain-free, still have trigger points etc, but improved my ability to function day to day tremendously. It 'takes the edge off', I've had entire days where I feel almost normal. Did have the typical side effects the first two weeks: sweating, rapid heartbeat, agitation and nausea. Stuck it out, the side effects subsided and it was worth it. Tried a lot of the other medicines recommended for fibromyalgia including Cymbalta, Lyrica, Elavil, Flexeril etc. None worked for me - either unable to tolerate side effects or made no difference in my pain. Recently missed 2 consecutive doses and the pain came back ferociously, made me realize how much better I've felt."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been taking Savella for over a year, it helped with the pain but the side effects kept getting worse for me, not better. The profuse sweating got worse. It finally became unbearable and I had to stop the medication. I was changing clothes 2 and 3 times a day, and taking 2 showers a day due to the sweating. Also caused body odor."

For Fibromyalgia "I was only on Savella 1 week when I developed a severe reaction to the medication. It started with migraine and within a day I had swelling of my throat and face. I had to make an emergency trip to the hospital."

For Fibromyalgia "60% improvement in pain. 20 years with Fibromyalgia. 46 old female. 110 lbs. Have not seen one mention of thoughts of death or suicide. I experienced this at the 25mg 2X/day. Experience less depression and crying less though. Found myself singing at times and noticed pain not as intense and it was normally extreme. Less neuropathy. Had night sweats. Feeling extreme cold especially hands and feet. Had no drive and wanted to just sit or lay down and not complete or attempt chores. Could not focus and forgetful. I was on Elavil before that made me feel like a zombie but did help with mobility but not so much for pain. The doctor wants me off Savella in two days because of the suicidal thoughts. Says he can't help and sending to pain management."

For Fibromyalgia "Before I finished the sample pack, I was calling my Doctor for a prescription. As others I have tried any and all medications. In August the pain was so intense I was unable to bend over, let alone last past 5:00 before having to lay down. There are side effects to all medications, it's all about your attitude, I'm always hopeful when the Doctor gives me something new. Savella is the answer to my prayers, stick it out you will be happy with the results."
