Luspatercept for Myelodysplastic Syndrome "Incredible results. Initially, the low dose was every 3 weeks, extended to 6 weeks with stable hemoglobin levels. Light side effects, although more nuanced after 7 months of the treatment, it seems. I am seeking information about the duration of the side effects and the possible increase over time."

Luspatercept for Anemia "I have sideroblastic anemia, and my doctor tried many medicines to get my hemoglobin to an acceptable level. After my first shot of Reblozyl, my hemoglobin gave me good numbers. I have blood work done every 3 weeks, and if my hemoglobin is below 11.5, I get a shot. If it's above 11.5, I do not. The last time I had a shot was 3 months ago, but this week I had to get one. My doctor is very pleased with Reblozyl, and so am I."

Luspatercept for Myelodysplastic Syndrome "It seems to be working, as my hemoglobin numbers and RBC are improving. Lots of side effects, though. I have the following: increased weight (rapid) and blood pressure (fluctuates), fatigue at times, dizziness at times, muscle, bone, and joint pain much of the time, and some edema in lower extremities."

For Myelodysplastic Syndrome "Receive an injection of the generic name of this product, 'Luspatercept,' every 3 weeks. Do not recall right now the quantity of cc's in the last injection. I know my 'Hematologist-Oncologist' has raised the amount of the cc's in approximately the last 3 injections. I began the Luspatercept treatments of every 3 weeks injection approximately in mid-January to the 1st of February of 2025. For quite some time up until the last injection, I do not believe I noticed any changes in my MDS level. That said, since my last injection of this approximately 2 weeks ago, I feel overall a little better."

For Myelodysplastic Syndrome "Results not consistent. In the beginning, blood count went up for a few months. However, later it began to drop. Similar to the other meds in the past."

Luspatercept for Myelodysplastic Syndrome "Hemoglobin went up, but I developed a skin rash, very itchy, bumpy skin on jawline, chest, arms, abdomen. Nipples were irritated. Use anti-itch creams. Works a little bit, but comes back. Feel tired, fatigue, and foggy brain. Short of breath."
