"I started taking lithium orotate from one specific brand (KAL) as capsules. I took 5 mg of elemental lithium a day for 5 months. It made my mood more stable and optimistic about life. Now I bought another brand in tablet form, Advanced Research brand. I feel this is very different, and I don't feel well on this brand. It gives me foggy head, a bit of anxiety and sluggish movements."

"I started taking 5mg of Lithium Orotate a few months ago for Depression and Mood and it really helped my mood. I felt so much better that I was able to taper off almost all of my medications that I take for severe depression and anxiety. I even went off my bipolar medication which was really hard. As a substitute I increased my dose to 20mg Lithium Orotate and feel very stable now. I work with a psychiatrist and he is really supportive. I have had NO side effects at this dose."

"Ive tried Lithium Orotate for bipolar. The dosage I find therapeutic is between 10 and 20 mg of elemental lithium. I wouldn't go over the self imposed 20mg limit without expecting side effects. Your lithium level (blood) will be very low or undetectable. Space the dosage twice a day to keep yourself even keeled and expect to take it up to a month before you really feel results. Share everything you are doing with your doctor as well. This version is just as real as the carbonate version."

"Using 2.5mg of lithium orotate daily 2x a day has helped stabilize my mood & promotes a sense of calm. Also noticed that it completely stops any craving for a glass of wine in the pm. I also sleep much better, feeling more rested. Overall feeling more relaxed, less stressed."

"My spouse and I have taken 10-12 mg elemental lithium daily for several years No side effects noted, except maybe a little suppression of emotions including euphoria. It stabilizes mood, and decreases sadness and feeling overwhelmed. It's been either orotate, aspartate, or sulfate"

"Based on a friend's recommendation, I tried a high-quality 5mg lithium orotate supplement. I have been taking a low dose of 75mg of Wellbutrin for several years to alleviate anxiety and depression, and I was hoping for additional relief. However, the lithium orotate had the opposite effect on me and made me feel restless and more anxious. I tried reducing the dose by dividing the contents of the capsule into smaller portions, but the results remained the same. Once I discontinued taking it, I returned to my baseline level. While the supplement works well for my friend, who has a family history of dementia like myself, and he experienced no side effects, it did not work for me."
