For Otitis Externa "I was prescribed this medication for an external ear infection at a walk-in clinic. I was also prescribed an antibiotic for a middle ear infection. Pain stopped within 24 hours but returned after four days. A second antibiotic was prescribed, but the discomfort continued. I saw an ENT at the 5-week mark, and the ear drum was not moving, there was tremendous sinus discomfort, and I could not hear on the side with the issue. Nine weeks later, when I returned to the ENT, he discovered there was a film on my ear drum from the ear drops, which he was able to remove."

For Otitis Externa "I was prescribed these ear drops for ear pain, and everything seemed to be going okay until a week after I stopped taking it. I now have ringing in the ear, ear fullness, and ear pain. The ENT said I have partial hearing loss now, and I don’t know if it’s because of these drops or not! Do not use, even if you are in severe pain!"

For Otitis Externa "I’m disgusted with this stuff. I used it for two days. It did nothing but make the pain worse! After a couple of days without it, my stupid butt decided I might have a little infection left, so I gave myself another dose! Now the pain is back! I know it’s this rubbish. Do not use!"

For Middle Ear Infections "I went to a new PCP with chief complaints of a migraine, ear infection, sore throat, and nasal drip on March 13th, 2020. The antibiotic did not work and my ears were still in pain. On March 21, 2020, my PCP then called me a prescription for these ear drops. My ears got extremely worse than before, making it unbearable. I went to the hospital and the doctor told me that I still have an ear infection and scarring inside my ears! Both of my ears now have hearing loss, ringing, severe pain, migraines, sinus pain, coughing, memory loss, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, dry mouth, dry throat, loss of voice, shaking of hands, slow and jerky muscle movements, frequent urination, bowel cramps, feeling about to pass out, dizziness, chest pain, tight chest, and breathing problems, loss of appetite, insomnia. I pray that you remove this medicine from the shelves. It is a dangerous drug and I pray that it does not cause lifelong threatening complications or even death after using it."

For Middle Ear Infections "I got water stuck in my ear 2 weeks prior and could hear it slosh around every once in a while, and it started to be tender to the touch. Called Teladoc on a Saturday to see if they would rx me something to help. I was prescribed these awful drops and started them Saturday late afternoon. The first dose was fine, but it was during my second dose that night that I started having excruciating pain and loss of hearing in my ear. My whole neck and cheek were swollen, and I couldn’t chew. It was worse than before I started the drops. I thought if I continued to use them, it would get better. I was wrong, I continued for another day and a half and was in bed with throbbing pain at all times. The only thing that gave me brief relief was a hot rice pack. I went into my Dr. that Monday and had a 101 fever and 123 HR. My Dr. said my ear canal was so swollen he couldn’t see past it. My symptoms didn’t turn until I started these drops! Spare yourself and please do not use these drops, throw them away!"

For Middle Ear Infections "My ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor prescribed this medication for an inner and outer ear infection. I informed the doctor about a perforation in my eardrum, but the prescription was given nonetheless. The medication did not work and caused my outer ear to swell up, including my earlobe, after the first dose. I used the drug twice a day, four drops each time, in only my left ear for a week, but it was ineffective. Currently, my ear feels full and the left side of my face and neck have a sensation of stiffness. The doctor initially wanted to prescribe drops with Cipro, but I have peripheral neuropathy from taking oral Cipro in the past, so the doctor gave me neomycin-based drops instead. However, these drops caused further harm to my left ear, where I already have diminished hearing and a high-pitched sound that won't go away. Unfortunately, the infection remains, and I am frustrated that another medication has affected my nervous system. I no longer have confidence in my doctor."

For Otitis Externa "Horrible! I had itchy ears. I was prescribed this, and my ears hurt so bad, and I now have a full-out ear infection! The pain is unbearable, I can't believe it. The worst part is, there is no way to get back my $65 I spent on this medication. The doctor says, 'Oh well, we tried.' The pharmacy says it's against the board of health to refund money, the bank says they can't dispute it. So now I'm left with an unbelievably painful ear infection, not to mention $65 medication, $40 doctor visit! Do not take this medication! Do yourself a favor!"

For Middle Ear Infections "I am supposed to be on these ear drops for 10 days, leading up to my next ENT appointment. I have a tube in the ear I’m prescribed the drops for, and when using ear drops with a tube, you’re told to “pump” your tragus with your finger a couple of times in order to push the fluid further into your sinuses. I put 4 drops in and immediately felt a burning in the back of my face. I pumped it twice, like normal, and felt the most intense, immediate pain to the point where I couldn’t stay silent in my apartment. I had to yell and make sounds to deal with the pain. My ear was in pain and full of fluid for about an hour after. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to take them 3 times a day for ten days, as the pain is excruciating, and I don’t think I’ll be taking them at all anymore."

For Otitis Externa "I have been using these ear drops for 4 days now. I had itching in my right ear and pain in my left. The doctor said it was a mild skin infection/irritation. When I put the drops in the right ear, the itching becomes intense for a few minutes. But it does seem to help in the long run. The drops in the left ear I can hardly feel. That ear seems 'full.' The pain seems to have been alleviated though."

For Otitis Externa "I’ve taken these before with little to no results, so when the urgent care doctor prescribed these, I knew they wouldn’t work. That would have been the least of my worries. Now, 8 days later, and after being prescribed a Z pack from my primary, my ears are still itchy, irritated, and I have a nasty rash and swelling of my right earlobe. Next time someone tries to prescribe these, I will refuse."

For Otitis Externa "Like so many other reviews, I was prescribed this drug for an external ear infection. After completing the drops, my hearing sounded slightly muffled, and I can hear a crackling sound. My ear became incredibly itchy and painful all the way out to my earlobe. Went back and got oil drops, they seem to be helping remove the crust that has formed over my eardrum and soothe the rest of my irritated skin."

For Otitis Externa "Was given this stuff from an ENT. It made my ear feel worse, after three days of using, loss of hearing. Very annoyed this was given to me with a horrible review list all over the web. I was clogged up from this, and my jaw started to hurt as well. I recommend using cotton with drops of oil of oregano on the cotton. Then lightly set it in the ear, what you want is the vapor to fill the ear. Don't put the oil by itself in your ear, for it can burn a little."

For Otitis Externa "I had an ear infection and took Amoxicillin first, and the Z-Pak got pneumonia. Dr. gave me Cortisporin Optic 1% for 10 days, and both of my inner ears are plugged with fluid rolling around. I also have been getting vertigo when I lay down on either side."

For Middle Ear Infections "Used the neomycin and polymyxin B ear drop prior to going to bed. I was awakened about 4:30 a.m., with a severe itch and stinging in and around my right ear. I used the drop the next morning and noticed I began to itch worse and continued, leading to bumps, redness, a swollen and scaly ear that feels like rubber to the touch. I decided not to use it again. I called the doctor and was prescribed other meds to treat it. I'm praying it gets better and goes away very soon."
