Flibanserin "I had a partial hysterectomy two years ago at 42 years old. Afterward, my libido, which had been completely dead prior, came back full force. The desire was there, but no fulfillment. I was suffering from dryness and infrequent, weakened, absent orgasms. My gyn suggested Addyi at my one-year follow-up. I have taken the medication for two full months now. Flibanserin "100mg. After reading all these reviews, I was terrified to even start. First night, I woke up 4 or 5 hours later wide awake. I tried it during the day instead. I did feel a little weird. I think that was because I had taken it sooner. I never once felt strange or had any passing out feelings with drinking a glass of wine. I'm not a big drinker anyway, but really, they just want you to skip it if you're over the top. I now found that it works best for me at around 9 pm. It doesn't always make me feel sleepy, just at first. I'm now a month in, and I can say yes, it's working. It's subtle at first but mostly it started in my dreams. Sexual dreams. Dreaming is also a nightly thing these days. For me, I will keep going with it. Please don't be scared of these negative reviews. Just do your research. Read all reviews, good and bad. The only side effects that might slightly be annoying is the wake-up thing. It still happens but stays sleeping. Please just try. I'm thankful this is helping me."

Flibanserin "For the past 2 years, I had been feeling like I was going through menopause at the age of 38. I went to 2 male OBGYNs and several family doctors and nurse practitioners. I finally went to an OBGYN again, this time a woman. She introduced me to Addyi. At that point, I would try anything. I started taking it (downloaded a coupon from the internet to drop the price to about 90 percent). I felt it working. As I did some research, I found that Addyi and the antidepressant I was taking were doing the opposite of one another, like playing tug of war. So I stopped taking the antidepressant, yes, cold turkey after 12 years of it. I was waking up every morning and going to work feeling lightheaded, so I guess that was part of the tug of war. Please don't do what I did - talk to your doctor before stopping any medicines that will cause withdrawal. Well, I'm normal again. I had a new boyfriend at the beginning of this cycle, and it was quite embarrassing not being able to produce wetness."

Flibanserin "I have been on Addyi since 2019, and it has truly changed things for the better for me. It's meant to be taken at bedtime, so make sure you do that, as it will make you sleepy. The plus side is I've slept GREAT ever since! It took a few weeks before I started feeling the effects, and they were subtle in the beginning, however, they continued and became more frequent. I actually want to have sex again - I cannot believe I'm reviewing a drug online, but I felt the need to share my experience as this was a huge POSITIVE change in my personal well-being and relationship!"

Flibanserin "When I started taking Addyi, I noticed that it felt as if I was taking a high dose of melatonin (imagine taking 20 mg of melatonin every night). I noticed a positive change in my mood and woke up rested. By the fourth week, I started thinking about sex a lot, thinking about sex often and even pleasuring myself when alone. By week 5 is when I noticed that the pain in my chest was getting worse (it started at week 3, but I thought I had just been sleeping in a bad position). I got to the point where it felt like I was having a heart attack; it hurt so bad I could not pick up things from the floor; it even hurt to breathe. I started looking back and noticed that the awful hives that I had developed on both my forearms had appeared by week 2 and were only getting worse. I stopped taking it 3 days ago, and the chest tightness is gone, and the hives are clearing up already. This drug is very dangerous and not worth the risk!"

Flibanserin "I was in a real rut, and my doctor kept trying different things to get my libido going. I even had a partial hysterectomy because she said my lack of desire was because my uterus dropped and caused it to be uncomfortable (it did). I love my husband; we've been together for over 20 years, but I dread any sexual advances from him. I've been taking this for 3 weeks, and I see a slight improvement. The 1st week I only took 1/2 a pill right as I was starting to fall asleep. I did not have any side effects; my sleep has not changed at all. I believe this medicine is going to be a marriage saver for me. I will continue taking it and see if it continues to improve my desire. Flibanserin "I have been taking Addyi for two weeks and so far, no change in sex drive. I’m athletic and healthy. I typically have a low resting heart rate. Addyi has raised my resting heart rate and makes me wake up after 4-5 hours of sleep. Once I’m awake, I cannot fall back asleep. Initially, it does make me drowsy enough to fall asleep. I have not noticed any other side effects at this time. I’m unsure if I will continue use, due to lack of sleep from taking this."

Flibanserin "So I know it’s a way early review of this medication, but if this is how I’m gonna feel, I’m up for it. I’ve taken 1 pill so far, last night at bedtime. I couldn’t fall asleep, eventually did, and was out for a few hours. I did wake up and have sex with my other half and was shocked at how fast I got off, that has been a long time since sex has been that easy and good feeling. I have been taking forever to cum, get mad that I can’t, and give up. I’ve had a bit of a headache on the right side of my head, but I don’t know if it’s because I got off or something in this medication, but I’m open to seeing what it does. I have had energy all day and been in a happy mood. I haven’t felt like this in a very long time. Will see what happens in the coming weeks, as it says it’s like 4 weeks. Unsure if I’ll get negative effects like tiredness and nausea, will see and am going to update my review."

Flibanserin "Day one, it knocked me out within 30 min. I slept like I was sedated for 5 or 6 hours, then I was up for the rest of the night. Day two, it hit me even harder. I felt like I was drugged. I had a foggy brain, my limbs felt heavy like cement, and I couldn’t have stayed awake if I had tried. I was afraid I would pass out and fall and get hurt. I was scared to even walk to bed. I made sure that my 8-year-old knew how to call 911 if anything worse were to happen. I only took two doses. I won’t take any more. The side effects were too scary."

Flibanserin "Please read. I took Addyi for a week. It did nothing for me other than make me sleep at night and during the day and run up my blood pressure. My normal blood pressure was 128/88. At the end of the week, I did not feel right, so I took my blood pressure again: 136/109. Everyone is different, but I had to quit taking Addyi."

Flibanserin "I only took this one night. I woke up this morning and have felt off (drowsy, maybe lightheaded). I can't really explain it, and I have abdominal pain. I will not take it again, it's too scary. It says abdominal pain needs to contact your doctor immediately, but it's Saturday, so I hope that not taking it again will help, and I will call my doctor Monday morning first thing. Not for me, I would rather just not want sex than feel like I do today."

Flibanserin "I was given resistance about taking Addyi for my low sex drive because I was taking Wellbutrin. However, my psychiatrist and urologist both agreed that my Wellbutrin was for off-script reasons and not depression. I was excited to try it and hopefully help with a very low sex drive over the past ten years. I finally got to try it. I took it for about three weeks and saw no difference at all. By the fourth week, I continued to take it but didn't have high expectations. At this point, we went on vacation and I (a very rare drinker) drank a few cocktails over the course of our holiday week. Pay attention closely to the warnings about alcohol consumption while taking Addyi. After only a couple of cocktails, I completely blacked out. Had to be carried to my bed and had no recollection of the night before. My husband and I were genuinely perplexed because I did not binge drink. I re-read the warnings and now knew what happened. Thankfully, I was not in a precarious position. Stopped Addyi immediately."
