Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I swear by Vaniqa. It totally works for me but I have been notified upon trying to renew my prescription, that it will not be available until December 2018. I can’t believe this is happening. The first thing that has worked for me and now it’s unavailable. I’ll have a full grown beard by December."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I had been on bio identical hormone replacement pellets in which the high dosage of testosterone gave me dark, thick hairs on my chin and thicker hairs above my lip. I changed to a new doctor and using hormone creams instead. He prescribed this for me mentioning it will stop the hair growth. I've been on it now for almost three months and it has done nothing but irritate my top lip. I have reddish skin now above my lip almost like a mild burn marks as well as patches of dry skin. My doctor told me it may take up to a year to begin working at that 90% of patients on it, continue with it. After reading some of the horrible reviews, I may opt for laser hair removal treatments. I have to do something as the hair growth is more than I can handle daily. I'm not happy with this at all."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "It has helped slow hair little bit which is the only reason I have given it any stars. I have to be honest I am disappointed in this. It has caused hair to grow under my skin and it is always visible. It also dried my skin out and my chin and neck look worse than when I didn't use this. Less hair but bumps, blotches, dark spots and permanent stubble. Giving up on it after this tube."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I have suffered with excessive hair growth on my chin for more than 10 years, I was tweezing in the morning then by the end of the day I was having to tweeze again! I have tried all sorts of things to remove it in the past but nothing has worked. I started using this cream 4 weeks ago and after 2 weeks I was disappointed as I thought it was not doing anything but now after 4 weeks I have never felt so smooth, I am not plucking just the odd one or two, I’m excited to see what it will be like after the expected 8 weeks as I am so much happier already. This really is amazing and I have had no side effects. I bought the cream online as I have spoken to the doctors numerous times about it and they have never helped, but now I know this works I will try and get it from them in future. I really hope that if you try it you are as happy as me with the results :)"

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I started this med 3 DAYS AGO!!!! I haven't shaved since. Chin and upper lip are still smooth. I was shaving daily. I was thinking surely this isn't working that quickly. For me, so far it's working! Life changing indeed!"

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I've been using this product for about a 1 1/2 month and I use it twice a day but it has slowed down the hair growth only if I'm taking my prescription meds but other than that I haven't seen a change yet. I will keep using it until its gone or my next dr appt on 8/25/2017 but if it doesn't work like I hoped so I will just have to do laser hair removal."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I haven't used it yet (hope it will get rid of the demoralizing appearance of increasingly coarse and numerous white hairs scattered on upper lip and chin !) I'm writing before I try it And BTW I find it VERY annoying that I'm not eligible for the $70 rebate through the company because I'm on Medicare. Why?? I'm paying for it completely out of pocket! This is weird and completely unfair. There isn't even a # to call or email to send to them to complain."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I've used it on and off, and I definitely see slowed hair growth. The only problem I have is that it slows growth, it doesn't remove. This results in hair coming out "just a little bit", i.e., very, very short hairs, which are not so much seen as felt. And they're very hard to remove because so short (and I only use Tweezerman!) It actually takes me longer to pluck the short stunted growth hairs than the full grown hairs. Oh, well. I'm hoping that once I do get them, they won't grow back and I'll be on my way to a smooth chin!!"

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I was plucking my chin daily for at least 1 hour a day. My case is not extreme but it was enough that I was embarrassed to be in the sunlight and hoping people would not notice my chin hairs. I waxed and it did not seem to get the stubborn hairs. I debated on spending 189 dollars on vaniqa and finally came to the point of desperation and wanting to try it just to see if it would make a difference. I am so happy that I bought this. Within 3 weeks I noticed a huge difference. I have plucked a few hairs here and there but nothing like I used to. I 100% recommend spending the money on this. I am so happy that I did."

"After reading all the reviews, there are a good number of them that sound the same (mentioning it is pricey but worth it, and that it works right away), and I wonder if this is company reviews rather than women like me."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I got this to help with my facial hair (around chin/jawline). It does not seem to work. I am still plucking and shaving just as often as I was before. When I originally started this medication my testosterone levels were normal, which was confusing as to how I had hair growth in the first place. I have been taking this for about 6 months and my testosterone levels are now high. Not sure if the medication had anything to do with it or if it is in fact undiagnosed PCOS. I would not recommend this medication because it is a waste of money and doesn't work as promised."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I have not bought this due to being really expensive. I was lucky enough and asked my sister if she can get it for me in Germany. Her doctor gave her the prescription and bought it for only $9. I will be receiving it in a week and can’t wait to start using it"

"Eflornithine did not make a lot of difference. It only slowed the hair down a little bit for the price of $201, I expected action. I won't be buying again. I still have coarse dark hairs. Maybe it's not made for Black skin."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I live in the UK and have battled with dark course chin for years. It had got progressively worse and I would find stray hairs morning, noon and night. I was never without my tweezers. I have a home epl machine, I have tried NoNo and all sorts of other things. None of them worked. I found an online pharmacy that sold Vaniqa. I had to inform my doctor first who checked for contra-indications and then gave the go ahead. I ordered the cream and it arrived next day. Here’s the biggie…. I HAVE SEEN AN IMPROVEMENT IN A WEEK! Very few hairs to pluck and I don’t have that stubbly feeling when I rub cream into my chin. I am so much happier. The £65 I paid is well worth it compared to other so called hair removal products that simply do not work. My friend one gripe is that it cannot be purchased over the counter. I will update my progress in a month or so. Good luck peeps."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "Not sure if it's working either, following directions for how $$ it is. I use to do Electrolysis which didn't do much either; she said not to pluck b/c it would reopen the now cauterized blood supply for the hair follicle; but idk if I should pluck for the $$ cream to get to the follicle? I also have to apply it to my "happy trail" and around my nipples my Doc said it's ok to use there. I'm applying rubbing alcohol to clean it better?? ALSO I apply to my beard minus rub alcohol SO I have to be very sparingly w/it. I also tried for a rebate, >:[ , not fair, not covered by insurance..coupon ideas any one. Are there generics and do they work?"

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "I have recently tried Vaniqa for facial hair and I have lost so much hair on my scalp I would say 40 percent of my hair. I began noticing so much hair loss once I began using vaniqa for facial hair and I stopped using the product. Not sure if anyone else went through this."

Vaniqa (eflornithine) "My whole life I had really nice skin. Then, in my late 30's I started to get these patches of thick hairs on my chin and lip that would become ingrown and cause painful acne/folliculitis. My dermatologist suggested Vaniqa. I used it for 6 weeks. My skin became the worst it's ever been. The hairs became deeper ingrown seemingly causing so much pain and I didn't think the grown of the other hair was slowing down at all. I developed the most horrific cystic acne that 18 months later, still in not healed. In the areas I used it, I developed scars where the pigmentation is completely gone and I have deep indentations about 1/2 inch in diameter all over my face. If I ever want to look normal again, I'll need so much cosmetic surgery. The absolute only thing in my regime that was different was the vaniqa and after I stopped using it, the cystic acne slowed and then stopped."
