For COVID-19 "My 1st dose and 2nd dose were a month apart. I am 55 years old with no major health issues. I don't take any prescription medications. My BMI is 21.9, and my blood type is O-positive. For my 1st dose, I experienced very minor injection site pain and no redness. My 2nd dose resulted in some injection site pain the following day, along with some fatigue. On the 3rd day, I still had some pain along with light redness, about the size of an oval silver dollar. The pain was not noticeable unless I lifted my arm or pressed down on the injection site area. By the 4th day, there was some remaining redness, but no pain. On the 6th day, the redness had subsided. (Side note: I had a similar reaction to the Shingrix vaccination, with the main difference being that I had pronounced redness and swelling with my 2nd dose.)"

For COVID-19 "I had both injections spaced 1 month apart. I have an autoimmune disease. First vaccine injection, I felt incredibly tired and a seriously painful arm at the injection site, lasted 3 days. Just had the second one a couple days ago, with worse side effects. Constant fever of 101-101.9, severe, excruciating pain in my hip joints and my thigh muscles, severe fatigue, gas, a bad bloody nose, lack of appetite, and nausea, weakness in both arms and legs, and dizziness. I also developed a large welt at the injection site and a rash covering my shoulder down to just below the site and near all the way around my arm that’s red, itchy, and hot. My arm hurt 10 times worse. Today is day 3 for me, and I’m just about over all the really bad effects, only feeling very fatigued. With all that being said, I have an overactive immune system and many other severe physical illnesses. This was fully expected. All I have to say is being sick for 3 days beats being sick for 2 weeks to a month if I did get COVID."

For COVID-19 "I had the first dose of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine 2 days ago, and I'm scheduled for the second dose in a month. The injection didn't hurt a bit, but I developed a fairly large, painful knot and a 2 in/5 cm red patch that hasn't diminished at all. The morning after the vaccine, I slept in longer than usual, and after being awake for about an hour, I actually went back to bed and slept until 1:30 pm. So any stories of fatigue and/or feeling drowsy after getting the vaccine are accurate (at least in my experience). Users on online forums note that the symptoms are more severe after the second dose, but so far so good for me."
