"I was changed from Eylea 2 mg to Eylea HD 8 mg, with no consultation whatsoever. The following week, I fainted (breaking my ankle), never having fainted before in my 75-year-old life! I know there is a possible ‘common’ side effect of blood clots with this medication, and suspect - but obviously cannot say definitely - that such a blood clot may have formed and moved to my lungs, causing me to faint. Eylea HD is continuing to address my DME. I will ask my consultant if I can return to the 2 mg dose, which I have been receiving - with no side effects - for over a year now."
