I am at the point where I have to force myself to eat because I have no desire to. I'm losing weight quite rapidly and I'm the process of reviewing all of the medications I take for possible side affects.
Does Zanaflex cause loss of appetite?

Its not on the list, but that doesn't mean its not possible. Both of you have experienced it. Guess I need to get it ordered for me, lol
km, you funny Lady! I'm thrilled it curbs hunger, as I packed on some "tonnage" during my gabapentin disaster! I'm surprised you don't have Zanaflex in your medicine cupboard, it works so well for fibro to back pain, it's up there with Soma in my opinion, in fact this girl is off to bed right now because of it!
Hugs to you km!
Interesting how medications affect people differently. I also suffer from low back pain and Zanaflex doesn't help at all, but it does help my Dystonia. I wish it did do double duty. : )
Hi Lgit,
Now that you mention it, yes I've the same thing happening, yet I'm happy to not be hungry as gabapentin made me gain some weight, ugh.
Call your pharmacist and she/he can let you know which medication you are taking that may be adding to loss of appetite.
I wish you all the best, and a hearty appetite, too,
Lara
Lgit, you could list all your meds if you'd like, someone is bound to have experience with some or all of them. It's entirely up to you, of course. Just a thought.
Lara
Thank you!
