I switched from Xanax 0.5mg three times a day to Ativan 0.5mg three times a day and I can’t see my doctor until Monday to switch me back because I don't like the Ativan. Can anyone give me some reassurance please?
Can you switch from Xanax to Ativan?

Why did your doctor switch you? The Ativan is going to be way less effective than the same mg of Xanax because the Xanax is stronger and acts faster. The .5mg of Ativan is going to be weak if you are use to .5 mg of Xanax.
To get your doctor to give you the Xanax back tell him you can't sleep and have increased anxiety. If he is going to be resistant tell him you had a panic attack too (only if you have a history of it)
I told him i wanted to try it. Im going back monday to get it switched
And that they said they will shred it when i come back in
