I was on Paxil years ago and it had worked for my depression. Can you go back to a drug and have it work again.
If you have not been on Paxil for years?

Well I have been on amitriptyline for 6 years. I loved it. Lol well, I had a back problem and the amitriptyline seemed to stop working so I was tritated down to 50 mg and then 25mg, and now I have titrated up to 50 mg for 1 week and now am on 100 mg for two weeks which isn’t up yet. I am just trying to figure out if this does not work out if I could try Paxil again. It was my own fault that I went off the Paxil.
Added 14 Jan 2023:Oh I am with a med doctor. I am not doing this on my own. Lol

Hi, AJ peoples!
Yes, it should. When you stop the medication your brain adjusts to not having the drug any longer. So if you start it again the med begins correcting the imbalances that caused the first depression.
Are you struggling again? It's not uncommon to have several (or more) bouts of depression in your lifetime. :(
You should definitely see your doctor if you think you're crashing again.
