my mother ran out of her medicine and didn't take it for 1 week. she couldn't get out of bed, could this be a side effect.
If you haven't taken your mestinon for 1 week can you have withdrawals?

It's so important for people with MG to take Mestinon as prescribed. Without it, the beneficial effects end and muscles weaken, etc. If your Mom runs out of the medication, her insurance company will likely allow her to get a short-term supply (with prescription of course) at a local pharmacy if she has to wait to get the medication through a mail order company. You've likely found this out already.
